Ancelotti Says NO To Citeh!

Premier League Chelsea
comment on the article

In his first press conference Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that John Terry will remain Chelsea captain "forever" and that the "Chelsea-Terry story will continue". Blues fans will be happy with this statement of intent from the Chelsea manager, a clear signal that the incoming manager wants to keep Terry a Chelsea player and fend off reported interest from Man City.

He also confirmed that Zhirkov has effectively signed for the West London outfit. The Russian international flew in to London over the weekend for his medical.

It was Ancelotti's first press conference and he announced two supremely positive pieces of news. Let's hope the good news continues...

Chelsea are slowly dropping down the table whilst city will slowly rise up it, when City attract more big names, Terry will join city.

Funny, that's what Ronaldo said when he was at MU. And lots of other good players too.Give them a break, guys. These were street boys made good. They go to the highest bidder. The care for principal sums not principles. And can you blame them?

As city fan i hope he dont come to city as he is not worth that sort of money i hope he stays at chelsea, and before you start shouting. When your russion owner brought chelsea he started flashing the cash, boot on other foot now,all city are doing is what chelsea and united have been doing for years, and before you shout about being a top four team chelsea had money,so when some other team like city or it could have been any club have a owner that has millions more than you,all of a sudden we are the bad guys well get use to something chelsea and united all ready started paying millions for players that other clubs at the time could not pay.

Terry won't sign for City.

1)They have no, I repeat NO european football to offer the England captain in a World Cup year.

2)Terry plays at Chelsea with a close group of friends and where his family are also settled.

3)His Chelsea contract ensures he is paid equal to or more than the squads biggest earner. He also collects european and domestic performance bonuses.

4)The increase in salary offered by Man City whilst worth more in basic salary does not include anything close to the advertising and marketing bonuses available through being Chelsea captain.

5)Chelsea will not sell.

6)The comparison between Chelsea in 2003 and Manchester City now is not only erronious but insulting to the London clubs achievements. Chelsea had just succesfully qualified for the Champions League on the back of a season in which their only transfer movement was bringing in loan signing Enrique De Lucas.

They had won the FA Cup twice (and two other final appearances) the League Cup, the Cup Winners Cup, a league runners up position a Champions League Qtr Final appearance in the decade leading up to Abramovic's buying the club.

They bid for Henry, Raul, Viera, Vieri, Nesta and were rejected each time out of hand - this was with Champions League football to offer and the same increase in wages being offered by City now. They went out and bought the best of the rest, and worked hard at cracking open the duopoly of Man Utd and Arsenal.

So John Terry won't sign for City, because they're a mid-table Premier League side with a lot of money. It's pie in the sky. And Berlusconi didn't change his mind about Kaka, lets get the facts straight, Kaka chose not to leave.

Eto is using City to flush out interest from another team, or negotiate a new contract at Barcelona.

Were I a city fan I would steer clear of believing the tabloid rubbish and the tattle on Sky Sports News.

I don't think John Terry will join City, the only reason would be the money.

If Man City can get someone like Terry to sign then I think alot more big names could follow, but they need that first man to join. Like Robinho did, if they can get Samuel Eto'o maybe they could get some other big names. Not untill then, but United will get Eto'o.
