Mike Phillips - Man of the match

I moaned every time Mike Phillips was first choice scrum half for Wales last season, but today he was immense. His tactics were excellent and his tackling and coverage beyond brilliant. Every man in the team gave his all, but Mike is definitely my man of the match.

rucknroll,
picture this; the lions win the second test in Pretoria, and it comes down to the final test in Johannasburg, a one match decider. Are we sure Peter De Villiers would take such a risk as to put out such a weak side as he did, i cannot see the Lions taking such a sailable lead against perhaps a more experienced back line, yet i take no credit from the Lions, who put a mark on South African rugby forever, we may have lost the series, but we have shown that for 20 minutes in the first test, for the first half in the second test, and the full game in the third test that THE BOKS, CAN IN FACT BE BEATEN!

Well played Lions you guys plaYed very well and really took it to the Boks and deserved a win. My team did not play well today and all credit goes out to the Lions.

Finally to the minority of Lions supporters who congratulated us - thanks! and to those who cant help themselves by thinking the Lions should have won the series - YOU LOST GET OVER IT BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!!!!!

Well done to the Lions, you have picked up a decisive win and deserved it on the day.

I think the refereeing leaves a lot to be desired, Odungane definitely scored a try and I am shocked that It was not awarded. I heard called Stuart Dickerson call the TV ref "Cheeky", which makes me wonder was this perhaps the infamous Cheeky Watson he was talking to? If yes, that would explain why the try was not awarded. The try would not have changed the outcome but it was still a try that should have been awarded.

The call on Shaw - very harsh in my opinion there was definitely no intent there.

Anyway two - one, I am happy with that for now but concerned about the Tri-Nations. With De Villiers as coach we do not have a snowballs hope in hell to win it.

Odungane definitely scored a try. Just as Cueto did - annoying innit?

DickensonFanclub - your comment "Odungane definitely scored a try. Just as Cueto did - annoying innit?"

You are obviously referring to the 2007 World Cup Final here.

Not quite the same situation as Ndungane scored a try that was not awarded where Cueto did not score a try at all. Ndungane clearly placed the ball solidly over the try line before going in to touch where as Cueto was pushed in to touch before placing the ball - the video replay clearly showed Cueto making contact with the flag post before placing the ball.

Anyway congratulations with the win on Saturday your boys deserved it. Enjoy it while lasts.

Thanks for confirming that TV replays can be wrong. I rest my case.

I think they whole tour has been awesome and really taught me a lot about players outside of the England set up. Jenkins, Heaslip, Kearney all of them just brilliant.

I watched the entire three test in bars in Southern Spain and often with Irish guys and it was a real pleasure. In fact we spent more time complimenting each others Nations...very amusing.

Well done everyone. get the Aussies ready..!!!!
