Live - Wimbledon women's final

comment on the article

Hello hello

It's Venus v Serena part 21. I know, I know. We're not expecting a classic, but their matches have definitely got better recently. And it's hard to argue they haven't been the outstanding players at these Championships. We shall see...

@Sir Blitzo

Very strange comment from you. Winning a Junior wimbledom plastic trophy is
not what I will call a success. However being the first RHCE ( google it ) in the UK is more of success. Besides being 15 is not old in female tennis terms...look what happned to Seles and the swiss miss injury notwitstanding. Laura is mediocre, until she wins a senior grandslam she will remain that way..lol

You're anonimously mocking little girls over the internet, that makes her better than you.

But, since I guess you're proud of it, Goodbye.

@aforeigner

Picking on two black women tennis players who only crime is that they adred to be winners says alot about you too....
.......................
Galaxy-man, I cannot stand The Williams People for the way they look (not feminine), the way they play tennis (not like a woman), their attitude and dis-respect for other players (especially Serena). I have a BIG problem with the way they seemingly 'arrange' matches against each other. Today is a prime example.

Now its your turn to explain why you pick on 15yr old Robson. I thought she played some really good tennis in her first senior match and I'd watch her play above The Williams People any day!

When you return from whatever Galaxy you dwell in , you can easily check out if Richard smokes and I retain all my centre court finals tickets , plus I get admission to the players area , which gives me that oportunity to meet all the players
I am in a photograph with Federer on his first win holding the Swiss flag which I supplied, oh and i keep the wrist bands that give me access with security in Wimbledon.At least until two years ago three counting this year.
So believe what makes you happy in the darkness of your ignorance.

It was a mediocre match which was a shame as it looked like it could be a good final after the first set. The way Venus collapsed in the second set was weak and it does lead some credence to the theories that the matches are fixed. It is impossible to prove either way though. The later stages of the women slams should be five sets as well as there would be more excitement. The match seemed dead today after the first set, which would not have been the case if it was a five setter.

The best thing about today's final was seeing the guy who put 7k on Serena, at the local bookies, have his bet come in.

This match wasn't as good as last year's final - which was the best women's match I'd seen in years! But it was still a good encounter. Serena served brilliantly, not losing her serve in a stellar performance. She was the only player who could beat Venus on grass, and she delivered....

"I know I'm asking a lot - but is there any chance you could quit the unpleasant comments about the Williams? It's kinda tiresome. I think we've all got the message..."

Well said, Cheese....
ok
I deliberately stayed away from 606, because I wanted to enjoy the match without the stupid, disrespectful comments that overrun these boards whenever they play. Now that I'm reading this thread for the first time, I can see that I took the right decision.
doh
Of course, Caroline, we know why they're making these comments....
whistle
I'm looking forward to the womens' doubles, and hoping that they can notch up yet another Wimbledon title.

At least with the doubles Daddy didn't have to decide who was going to win.
