Will Sean Faulkner equal 6 points?

We all know 6 points is the difference between the comfort of mid table and being amongst teams fighting against relegation.
It can also be the difference between mid table and fighting for a play off position.
With last years squad being decimated by injuries, mostly muscular, it's imperitive that with a proposed smaller squad, albeit a higher quality, it is essential to minimize this problem.
Enter Sean Faulkner, a conditioning coach.
Loosening up and stretching prior to a match, and devoting time after training or a match, in a controlled manner helps.
If an extra 6 points can be gleaned out of a higher level of fitness with less injuries, then his involvement will be well worth it.
It's encouraging to see Waddock address the problem, and goes to show his highly professional approach.
Has anyone got their own ideas on the subject, should the money be spent on the squad itself?
Or do you think like me it's money well spent.

Shrewsbury fan in peace.

I think bringing in a coach can really help a football club. We've just done it by bringing in Mickey Brown and Dave Timmins, too people who have worked with the club before.

Also, do you think Jake Robinson can do well up front with Grant Holt, see as you had Jake on loan last season?

Best of luck for the season ok

Point 1 - I feel the addition of a conditioning coach is a good move. Too many injuries last year were lower leg ones, which may not have come about if the players muscles and joints were more supple. There is a fine line though between paying for backroom staff and not adding to the squad. I personally think that we need a first team squad of around 19 to cope. Div 2 is a tough physical league to be in.
Point 2 - I think Jake will do well at Shrewsbury. A quick busy player, who likes to play off a target man. Reminds me a bit of a Michael Owen with his style of play.... As to what Michael Owen you get though (Liverpool or Newcastle) only time will tell.

Thanks for your comments Salop4 and Musestar.
Re. Jake Robinson, he was very popular at Aldershot scoring some cracking goals, if I'm picky his main fault is he's a head down head for goal player.
He would improve 100% if he used his eyes more on and of the ball, he would then create more goal assists, and he needs to anticipate what his fellow players are going to do with the ball.
When coaching youngsters I constantly asked them did they know where their team mates were, before they received the ball, using their eyes and not ball watching all the time, improved their overall footballing speed and anticipation under pressure.
