Andy Murray may have lost but he still played a good match. People who say he lost due to the pressure, not enough aggresion etc. simply wernt watching the same game and that is taking credit away from Roddick who was unbelievable.

We know Murray will be back, hes 22 for gods sake! People need to to chill and stop acting like the media who make him out to be unbeatable just so they can tear him apart when he loses.

A fantastic attempt this year by Murray and i cant wait for the next grand slam. And Roddick will put up a fight on Sunday, mark my words!

Presently Murray doesn't know how to Manage himself over the duration of a Grandslam tournament. His first serve percentage against Roddick was in the 50s. A week before that it was in the 60-70s. In Ageon Grass tourny final preceeding Wimbledon it was in the 80s! Look at how Federer, Nadal, Roddick etc manage themselves. Roddick's, Federer's serve and play in general has got better with every match. If Murray had somehow got to the final with his low serve percentages Federer would have slaughtered him which would have been worse.

Murray is going to be good for a while winning the 1 week tennis tournaments but until he learns how he should peak in a grand slam he'll always come short. He'll be like Safina - a top seed who can't win a grand slam.

Would have been nice if Murray won but alas he didn't. Ok, i lie slightly - i'm glad Roddick won to be honest.

I'll never be one hundred percent behind Murray so long as his bottom lip is in need of inflation, and certainly not untill he loses his petulant attitude.

Does he not realise he has the British public in the palm of his hands? I think not judging by his complete and total disinterest in interviews, etc. He plods around like an 'hard done by' teen.

He is however a great tennis player - shame he sold what little charisma he had for the ability to play tennis.

Matt..

I think it has been a good achievement for Murray to reach another semi-final of a grand slam and I think he will be happy with his performance at Wimbledon.

However, I don't buy into this mentality that this is somehow a national disappointment. Tennis is an individual sport, like boxing or motor racing, and as such athletes are representing themselves. Murray is not filling a British slot at Wimbledon and had he not been in the tournament he wouldn't have been replaced by another Brit.

Indeed, Murray is a big Floyd Mayweather Jr. fan and so chooses himself not to support Ricky Hatton just because he is British.

National attention should focus on the pride of hosting such a well-respected and important sporting event. Fans of tennis should take the opportunity to be able to see the best tennis players in the world trying so hard to winning Wimbledon. They should support the players that they respect the most and whom they find the most exciting and entertaining, instead of intimidating people with the over-the-top and aggressive jingoism that plagues SW19 every summer.

Roddick can consistently hit an overhead ball at 130mph into a square on the other side of a net. That's his talent, nothing else.

-------------

Haha Bladder IOS...you clearly-

a)Know nothing about tennis, and

b)Were not watching Roddick play on Friday

My dream still alive that an Englishman will win Wimbledon and not Murray!

-------------------------------------------

Sorry mate but you will have to wait a long long time for that to happen. Ive said before, the "English Tennis Association" - all the posh snobs from down south in London only want "upper class" tennis players. There are plenty of undiscovered tennis talents out there but untill they try and find them we will never have an English Champion.

We have two decent tennis players in Britain. Andy Murray who is Scottish and Laura Robson who has Australian parent's and was born in Melbourne. Does that not tell you something?

So my advice is get over it! Your dream off a true english winner is ony a dream, get your head out of your rear end and support Murray!

hyping up murray for us open already, priceless. as predicted the cream comes to the top and federer heading for another slam victory.

all talk of murrays young age but as specified look how many slams nadal has won and djokovic is younger and has already won one.

murray is a good player but please stop the hype, he is just not that good. when it matters in the slams, he has fallen short again

All this negativity! People, for God's sake - keep it in perspective! Clear to see that most of you have the "all or nothing" mentality! It was a great match, we were entertained and at the end of it, the best player on the day won. That's all....get over it! It's far too sunny outside for all this doom and gloom!!

The chances of an englishman/woman winning wimbledon title will get lower and lower here on.

Reason: The abysmal education (non)system which keeps raising the bar on "de-stressing" children (and of course teachers) and hence keeps lowering the bar on standards.
It rewards them for little "accomplishments" and heaps praises for "trying their best". Well then.. get ready for generations of "also tried" whingers who are not used to competition - i.e the real world outside their safe de-stressed classrooms.

No matter what new fangled scientific studies you carry out to justify this approach. Fact is, you are making the children "softer" mentally.
