It is good to see him back where he rightfully belongs. A legend in his own right, he was idolised during his time at Anfield and has gained an untouchable status for all he has given to the club during his period as both a player and manager. Being the Sir Bobby Charlton of Liverpool, he can help Liverpool in the way that Charlton helps their fiercest rivals, Manchester United.

It is great to see him back in football and he should bring a lot to the table. He has a wealth of experience and it is good that Benitez is trying to tap into that. Whilst Liverpool have experienced times of difficulty recently off the pitch, Dalgeish can help settle the board room disputes and he should be a calming influence off the pitch. Good luck.

As a Manchester United fan in peace - I agree completely. He was a great player, someone who truly loves the game. I wish there were more like him around.

Posts on this kind of topic simply illustrate there are basically two types of supporter: the football lover who follows a particular club through thick and thin - often not knowing why - but can still appreciate great play and great players wherever; and the ignorant football haters who support clubs as a fashion accessory or as a prop to their masculinity - and then use these forums top vent their nastiness.

Again, good post, ...Pride of Lions...

Have a good season!

Obviously Torres will play as main striker but with Kenny in the hole behind they might start coverting those draws into wins. ; )

P.S. I'm only kinda joking. I bet he's still amazing.

I saw him in a Liverpool legends match fairly recently. He still got it!!

He's one of only three managers in English football history who have won the League title with two different clubs (the others were Chapman and Clough). I think he will do all right...!

It's great to have him back. A legend among legends.

Obviously there is no doubt that king kenny is and always will be a legend at anfield but I'm not sure if his "senior position" is going to do much good. Doe that mean that he's going to be pushing pens all day, writing cheques and managing the academy? I hope not, he should be on the training pitch in a track suit together with the kids.

Whether he bottles it or not he still has more nous, steel, understanding, ability, personality, knowledge than the buffoon called BenItez!!
Maybe things are turning for the better for the once great club known as liverpool.
