Good to see the openers finding some form. It will not be easy for the Lankan spinners if Pakistan have a good opening partnership.

Also, good to see Yousuf wearing the star again!

am thrilled that the artist formerly known as youhana is back in the team. will certainly help the pakistan batting. now all that's needed is one good opener and a drug free asif.
will be a team that could then challenge the big boys easily.

The bowling shown by the Pakistan Bowlers is worrisome .
Why didnot u shown the figure of Pakistan in 2nd innings, i think it was 52/4 ,chasing a target of 83....
Do not write half baked truths...
In the whole match Srilankan 2nd rated XI had a better performance.... like two batsman getting centuries and two bolwers taking bulk of wickets.....

Practice matches does not mean much.

Batting - Sanga, Mahela, Thilan, ...I think SL has the edge.

Pace - Not sure who has the edge. Pretty equal. May be Pak since malinga is not selected.

Spin - SL has a clear edge.

As one could see deciding factor is spin. If pak cant handle the spin of Murali and Mendis (best spin attack the world has ever seen), then they are in deep trouble.

-------------------------------------------
But they have truly world class players likes of Yusuf and Yunis who can bat for days as well.

But I agree since Mubarak ( even Silva) is not selected I think SL has the edge. ok

Think a lot of you are missing the point. The point of the article was to show that the Pakistani batting line up looks good. Its a practise match, its not all that pertinent when were talking about Pakistani batsmen to mention Sri Lankan centuries. Congrats to them but as a Pakistani fan I dont really care.

Should be a good series though!

well can i request paksitan cricket board to get rid of Sulman Butt , and plz let razaq play in all types of cricket . PAkistan will do good tomorrow but we need to get rid of sluggish players like sulman Butt and get the inform players in for winning this series .

292 on Galle Pitch is a good score by Sri Lanka. Pakistan is in big trouble. Galle is known for decisive finishes.

Agree that Butt should be out he did'nt perform in T20 either. Pakistan should give chance to better players like Imran Nazir, who may ve their technical fauts but can atleast score some runs.

At the time of writting Pakistan are 303/7. If they manage to score close t0o 400, they will ve the upper hand.

and as for spin troubling pakistan, i think it should'nt be a prob to any side from subcontinent.
