Can Kyle Amor cut it in Super League?

Kyle Amor has had a fantastic 2009 season so far in the Championship with Whitehaven, and his player of the month award for May was a just reward for a string of strong performances in the front row.

BBC Radio Cumbria has learned that the 22-year-old prop could be on his way to Super League - with Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants expressing a genuine interest in his signature.

He certainly looks a prospect, I have seen him three times against Thunder this year and every time he has been impressive, throwing himself into tackles and driving forward with the ball.

Gregg McNally has already been plucked from the Haven side - and subsequently loaned-back - eyed by Huddersfield as one for the future...

...but Amor is just that little bit older and possibly ready to make an impact now for whoever wins his signature. If they do...

Rhinos are in the front of the queue, and are due to meet with him this weekend.

So... is Amor ready to make the step up? Or should he bide his time with Whitehaven? Your thoughts please.

also would be nice for leeds to sign him and exchanged bailey for him!

i think amor will end up at giants for simple fact gregg mcnally is a giant.
mcnally only been loaned back to haven so he can complete his studies at whiteheaven school. i think mcnally will get a full winter training in with the giants and you will more than likely see him feauturing in superleague next season !

the giants have a good record of signing players from lower league's and we give them a chance. it will be harder for him to get into the leeds squad aswell. i cant comment on the lad because i have never seen him play but f leeds and huddersfield are in for him he must be doing something right.
