I thought he looked good for the first half of last season then went quiet as Wigan's form faded. In fact the stats show he didn't get a goal or assist after Christmas which is pretty much how I remember it.

Who knows though? He is quality no doubt, it just depends whether he fits in at MU or not.

Good one. Valencia is the second young player with most potential in WC 2006 arrcording to FIFA.

you would'nt get A. Young for $25 million. I understand that English players are overpriced, however it is becasue they are proven in the PL. Young was voted player of the year three times in one Calendar year (First player EVER to do this!!!) plus he is 23 years old. If Tevez is worth $25mill, how much do you think AY is worth....??

more than happy to win nothing?? do you even like the game....Don't forget, Arsene has had his fair shair of high-profile transfers (Reyes, Wiltord etc...). AW is renouned for finding the "diamond in the rough" very rarely does he has success with big money purchases - your point is mute!!

Francefootball's website is now claiming (in an article written at 18h.21 today) that an announcement will be made this evening confirming that Benzema has signed for Real Madrid, despite Lyon denying this rumour earlier.

Benzema's agent claims the deal was done last night but has been kept quiet so as not to affect Lyon's share price, hence the "decision" to announce the deal once the market has closed.

If this is true it's bad news and suggests SAF and others have been outmanoeuvred by Real. There should have been a condition to Ronaldo's move that the way be left clear for Utd to go for Benzema.

As a life long United fan, all I have to say on this signing is "Big ****ing deal".

with great players thin on the ground and most of them either not moving or going to Real, it must be time for Berbatov (remember him?) to pull his finger out!
