It was with sadness today I heard about the plight of Livingstone FC. I hope that they can overcome this and continue to function as a football team. Even though im an arab and have no real like of Livvy its always awful to see a club go under.

all thr best livvy.

The market is only big enough for 12 - 15 clubs. This is a chance to get rid of the also-rans and make the leagues stronger.

There is no duty for the leagues to have a club in every little town, such as Forfar, Brechin, East Stirling/Falkirk, Stenhousemuir etc.

One would have thought the lesson of Annan's massive flame out would have been learned.

Livingston isn't even a proper club, seeing as it was Meadowbank and before that Ferranti Thistle.

With a bit of luck, it will soon be settled. Let's face it, what is the point in letting the club die ? Livingston town would be left with a stadium lying empty and unused. With a bit of luck some group will come forward, and ressurect the club. To those who bemoan Meadowbank and Ferranti Thistle, get over it. Other clubs have risen out of the ashes of a club.

If livingston go to the wall they wont be the last club it not just happening in Scotland England and also in Ireland clubs have or on the brink going out of business the problem is clubs are trying to spend what they do'nt have if feel scotland needs to step back a few years get rid of the over pay and over rate so call super stars.

I can see your point as I too believe that there are too many clubs in Scotland. Falkirk is a district however which has roughly 150,000 people in it. There is enough there to have one football team. Not sure I see the point in three though. East Stirling and Stenhousemuir would be better joining together and playing in the East of Scotland league.

Reading this today, can't understand why the owner won't accept the offer and rather see the club go under?

Which is better - £25,000 or £0.00p ? You know and I know. But the guy is Italian and is being badly advised. I feel sorry for Davie Hay, who I believe is his father in law, as well as all the Livvi players and staff. They are the innocent ones.

I've read alot of articles and looked into Livingstons past, Third Larnark to MeadowThistle etc and it seems like the club is incappable of learning from its past mistakes.

Although im English I love Scotland but I think some of these lower league clubs need a serious reality check. They live beyond their means more often than not and then pay for it. Outside of th SPL only 3/4 clubs have what you would call decent fan bases the rest barely scrape by. Surely its time for the SFL to take a look into all these clubs and find ways to balance and run the clubs better.

Yip...get rid of half of them...Livi saved for the time being! Whats the point in dragging this out any longer? Get them and half of the other lower leagues teams tF!
