i am intrested to see if saints fans views on whether kieron should retire at end of the seson or should he carry on?
he says he will wait till end of season and see how his body holding up.
my own view is this man is fantastic and a legend of rugby league world, i would be happy if he honest enough to say i dont want to let the fans or club down as my body past its best and he retires at top of the game, rather than say go on one more season and find he no longer up to it and fans turn against him.

the worst case scenario is he asks for another year saints say no and he signs for the pie eaters, i hope he goes at end of season i think scott more and roby will cope without him, but he kept at saints in some form of coaching position. would make a fantastic future coach if he gets chance to learn as understudy

Who would be the No1 Moore or Roby? would Moore want to go back to back up role, and would Roby be prepared to stay if he was not the starting No9

MeathHill - roby said in League Express yesterday that he is happy at Saints and cant see himself going anywhere for the near future...it doesnt really matter who starts and who plays off the bench as they will both get around the same game time anyway so I think the days of 2Im not in the starting 13 so I want to move" have gone...

In answer to your question, not sure who would start at 9 and who would play off the bench, would be interesting to see, although I would maybe be tempted to keep Roby on the bench and start with Moore as I think roby is still a greta player when he starts, but even more devastationg off the bench when teams are tiring

Stleon

You covered my point I would be worried about Roby wanting to start games, he is more effective coming off the bench. Never say never egos and paypackets dictate to a lot of players. Moore may like the limelight he is getting with the Giants he seems a lot more accomplished than when he played for Cas.

Don't get me wrong Scott Moore is doing a fine job for us at the Giants and we would love to have him one more year - but he still has to improve if he is to play for Saints. Some flahes of brilliance but some howling mistakes too from him. His tackling technique needs improving and he has had a fair few passes intercepted this year.

I think Cunningham should have another year if he feels fit enough. If he decides to call it a day then I am sure Saints will offer him a coaching role.
If the club are unwilling to offer him one more year (and he feels fit enough) I cannot see him going to another club. I think he will accept their decision. He is a principled chap and would never dessert Saints. He showed that when offered big money to move to yawnion and turned it down.
I don't think it matters who is the first choice no.9 between Moore and Roby as the modern game has room for two hookers in each team and they compliment each other (Moore and Roby that is).

I hope Cunningham stays but will respect his decision.I was very disappointed on arriving at the ground lastt Friday that coach Potter had decided to play a full strength side against the Celts. The young lads did brilliantly in ourlast home match, and would have brought home the 2 points. Hindsight is wonderful, but maybe Kieron wouldn't have picked up his injury and missed a month or so as we get towards the "business end of the season", RL Cup etc. If he goes Roby must be a starter so where does that leave Moore? Content to be a bench player or will he not be bale to make an impact like Roby can ( few could!)?
