if soton had another goalscorer like mcgoldrick last season they would probably still be a championship team.

also, i think earnshaw will retain his penalty duties next season. he seems to have a decent record for pens whichever clubs he's played at.

Apparently Paul Anderson is on his way this week as well.

As for McGoldrick - he might be 'pants' according to Saints fans, but the top scorer in a relegated team. Shows what kind of team he's played for

He's 21 and obviously Billy sees potential in him. He might not be in the main team selection all of the time, but it'll be good to have him available.

Port Vale had him on loan a season or so back. Admittedly he was younger but TBH he wasn't very good.

Never thought Burley gave him a proper go but then he didn't impress last season. We're getting a decent price based on his outrageous scoring in the reserves three or four seasons ago.
