Hall signs new Coventry contract

Championship Coventry City
comment on the article

Coventry defender Marcus Hall has signed a new one-year contract extension which is set to keep him at the club until the summer of 2010.

Hall is 33. Do you think he is past it? Or do you think he can still do a good job for the Sky Blues?

I think he's a good backup player to have and its great he'll be staying for another year, but if we really are on the verge of signing Delaney off QPR, that'll leave us with 3 left backs and it clearly won't be either of those to going, so where does that leave Foxy?

Apparently the media have it wrong and its Ipswich that are signing him.

Not sure if its true or not??

Marcus has been a great servant to the club and can still do a good job. Glad he's signed.

SDFM, maybe Fox will be moved into a more attacking position??

Hmmm maybe but I'm sceptical about that because when he played left wing at the end of the season he was a shadow of himself at left back. Play your best players in their best positions!

Although I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the media got it wrong and it is Ipswich about to sign Delaney if thats a possibilty.

So glad Hall has a new contract, the sort of guy who's always useful to have in the changing room and can do a job in defence if needed.

i beleive Fox will go to Everton, as Baines is rumoured to be going to Arsenal for 14million, and with the testimonial being played against these, it could well be a clause in the deal. Hope not though

Well I suppose that would make a lot of sense then on Evertons part, but hopefully the flaw there is why would Arsenal spend £14m on a left back when they already have Clichy. So everything crossed its all paper talk and fox is staying.

cant understand this decision. Ive never rated marcus hall, he miskicks the ball so many times during a game. Its good that he is a long serving player, but the guy is a senior member of the squad so will probably be one of the better earners.

better off blooding an up and coming youth player who is on several thousand pounds less a week and might even unearth a gem.
