It's only a second round match for our young players. however I hope it becomes available on the 'red button', the quartet are scheduled to be first up on court twelve.

It's an exciting time for our Grand Slam main draw debutantes, and while I do not expect them to proceed to the third round against such wily veterans as the multi-slammers Sveta and Mauresmo, it will be interesting and entertaining to see how far Laura and Georgie can push their highly experienced opponents.

There aren't many Brits left in the tournament, so this second-round doubles match will be watched by me with great interest, weather and red button permitting.

Conosu - we may disagree from time to time and enjoy a bit of banter - but both love the game.

Posts like that hack me off when people go to the trouble of writing good threads.

Sadly symptomatic of 606 these days.

I dont follow the WTA as closely as you, but its good that someone ( and a couple of others) make the effort.

What a constructive debate. Brits at the moment are rubbish. Various kids at a school I know in Spain are starting tennis lessons, at a very affordable price, in July at 7 pm at the age of 4. How many British kids do that?
