Moseley said this was about getting spending levels back to those of the early 90s. If this is the case, I assume Mr Ecslestone and his cronies will be reducing the amount of money and circuit investment they are looking for back to early 90s levels, which will lead to ticket prices being at early 90s levels. No need to chase the cash at new tracks in the desert with empty stands etc. Sounds a winner all round! winkeye

FOTA got what they wanted, Mosely did not, a clear victory for the teams, FOTA were more than happy to leave Mosely behind, he's nothing but a meddling fool, I would of been happy to see a new competition because the one we have now is not even worth watching, those English fools have reduced F1 to a soap opera, the racing is boring, the drivers are boring, the only point of interest was the fight with FOTA, I have been an F1 fan all my life and I am finding that for the first time I am not even bothering to watch the races, they are just so boring and dull, nothing happens, its just a procession, with the super dull button driving a car which is far superior to any other apart from the red bulls, button has not been transformed into a top driver overnight, his car is just "illegal".
If you want to witness true racers, without all the political rubbish, watch moto GP, it is by far the best racing on the planet at the moment, maybe because there are no Englishmen in control, in fact, I'm sure thats why its so good!

Dont take it as at all read, that Max has gone as yet.
He's said he will go before, and then gone back on his word, so until the Fat lady finally gets to sing.....

I think some of MM's quotes, as reported by the BBC today, regarding comments on 'from Team employees' and 'if teams continue behaving themselves' speak volumes on the man's unshakeable self-belief in only his own opinions, and his complete and utter arrogance.

In my view F1 and team harmony will be the better for his demise.

Pity their isnt access to a webcam in RD's office. I bet he's all smiles today !!

"The FIA's World Motor Sports Council has approved all Fota's proposals."
Hey I'm Sorry FIA caved ~ But then again, what to expect: they are a sorry lot?

I was hoping this was going to be the Freedom again that the F1 sport had in beginnings, for decades, pre-Bernie's strangle-hold!
...at least Mad Max will be gone.

HiHo.

The amazing Mr White you are correct, the title of this article is wrong. The FIA could not dare let the bulk of the interest walk away and leave them with an expensive party no one wanted to go to. The FIA have folded, they tried the bluff but in the end Max and pals soiled their undies.

I think it is worth mentioning that if it wasnt for englishmen there wouldnt be F1.
Max had to go, talk about tripping over your own feet, he was the one that brought in all the safety measures (rightly so) carbon body, teams have to use more tyres......oh but can you keep the cost down!
The point of disputing these things is so we end up with better racing and all the teams competing against each other not in a split series, I think fota were deadly serious and it was the only way to go to make then listen in the end. If the rules are clear and not transparent we wouldnt end up with cars appearing on the grid with something new and out of the blue for everybody to moan at.
anyway rant over...i could go on all day!

I am suprised anyone took this whole thing seriously in the first place, there's always some 'drama' that gets resolved each season. Bernie would never let all those teams go or want to compete with them in a FOTA championship!

Im Really disapointed, if the Members of The FIA hadn't needlessly panicked, then there would be 11 or 12 teams next year (Renault, will go anyway, and Toyota might still go). now there will be at most 10 teams, if the Budget cap has been scrapped the the 3 new teams will not enter next year. how much longer will the manufactures stay?

If the current financial crisis doesn't lift soon the the boards of the manufactures will see a way to stop the company pouring millions of pounds away, and can the F1 Program.

there was no way whatsoever that the break away would start up, even less than the teams could keep a united front for long enough.

another thing, Brawn were only committed to the FOTA couse because i suspect they were told if you dont back us then we will stop you from getting all the prize money you are owed for this year.

this is the worst possible outcome for F1, the teams will just hold the sport to ransom every time they disagree with something, and they now have the confidence that they will get what they want.

R.I.P. F1.
