Did you see that shot in the Federer vs Lu match, where Fed chases down Lu's backhanded over-head volley, and hits a backhand winner *around the net-post*? Shot of the tournament so far.

Good God - an article about tennis yikes

Terrific shot, plumes, and demonstrates why it was wrong to have a doubles net at Queen's for singles matches - still trying to work that one out.

Enjoyable match. Want it Mr Lu that put Murray out of the Olympics ?

Mac in the commentray box seemed to suggest that he heard Fed tell the ball boy to duck out the way, so yes claire, I think he did!!

That was shot of the tournament - just like Murray's against Gasquet last year. Geniuses.

Yes it was duggie! The commentators were hilarious yesterday - I don't know who it was with Mcenroe, but he was being very disparaging about Lu's chances 'He never wins more than 1 match in a row' 'only does well in challenger events' blah blah, only ever beat Nalbandian (to which Mcenroe said 'well that's GOOD to beat Nalbandian!). Then Mcenroe said something like 'Wasn't it Lu who beat Murray in the Olympics?' and the other guy was all 'Yes it was, but in Murray's defence, he had just arrived from somewhere else, he wasn't on top form, I don't think you can read anything into that.....' SO defensive! biggrin But Mcenroe cut straight through it with a 'Well, that's quite a big deal to do that, Federer won't have underestimated this opponent.'

Sorry for paraphrasing, but I thought it was a really funny bit of commentating, particularly the defence of Murray in the Olympics!!!

Lu will cherish those wins, and having opened on centre court, day one at wimbledon against fed.

Not to mention he may be one of the few guys that manage to break federer's serve in the early rounds smiley

Bit of a sickener for lu, it's an unreturnable shot when it's hit an inch off the ground.

If Fed had hit the ball boy would they replay the point?
