Lewis Hamilton Driving Badly!!

Formula One

Lewis is really struggling at the moment. It was another weekend full of mistakes. He is so clumsy and ragged behind the wheel at the moment. The car isn't great but he obviously can't set it up either which is a huge problem. he really need to dial in some more underteer to combat the cars problems. To get beaten by the Renaults is a poor show. Once again Kovy showed him up and had he got to the finish would've beaten him. It's strange how when the cars is good Kovy isn't as quick but in a bad situation Kovy seems to make the best out of it. I feel we are really seeing where Hamilton's ability lies at the moment and unfortunately he isn't the driver that a great deal of people on this site wish he was. There were also plenty of desperate attempts to win back some British fans over the weekend in interviews etc. Unfortunately they came across exactly that....desperate.

Lewis needs to quieten down, smooth things out, keep his head down and start performing. He isn't impressing anyone at present.

Lewis, isn't just the greatest driver since senna, he's better. He has broken so many records already, he is at the begginning of his career. Lewis is better than the top 10. He has achieved more than the top ten drivers, and has more potential than the top ten drivers. You forget, he is the world champion, and will be again. Can we same the same for any other driver on the grid. Jenson may be in lead at the moment, but the brawn bubble is deflating. Jenson only wins with luck. Luck is people who can't suceed through skill. Lewis won the championship, with McLaren, because he is a great racer with great backing. Vettel had a fire in his belly, no he has a furnace. Lets see the points margin by the end of the season shall we.

i think people want to love lewis hamilton this is why im no so keen on him i prefer the guy that doesnt have as much support thats the way i am. but honestly calling him the best comparing him to senna prost schui fangio
g villienuve etc. its a bit desperate by the end of his carrer he will probably be one of the greatest but if you think his now your just deluded great drivers arent made from having a good car they are made from a bad car and so far lewis doesnt seem that great.

Lewis had a rubbish kart, that his dad used to try and fix, he still won races, he recognised by his skill and determination at Buckmore park, when he had no support. Ron Dennis is not the knid of person to take on someone that has no potential.

Lets be really and truly honest F1 is a team sport and when everything works how its expected to work then you get the best out of it. Lewis is one of about five drivers who have actually got what it takes to become a multi world champion. Even though I am a supporter of Button he hasn't taken his chances and it is only now when he is in a car that is head and shoulders above the rest (so far) he is able to win.
What would happen if Alonso, Raikokken, Massa, Vettel, Hamilton, Kubica and even Rosberg had the Brawn set up? I reckon they would have been on the podium at least starting from 6th position.
Mclaren have to write of this year Mosley and Eccleston made this year very uncompetitive by making a raft of changes and then disallowing any testing outside of the thursday and friday sessions which leaves you doomed they couldnt find a way to make the smaller teams more competitive so they punished the big teams.

@Sack_Legard:

Your choice of name is quite ironic, as you are to 606 what Jonathan Legard is to TV commentating. <laugh>

When you are driving a dog of a car and pushing it right to the limit (and sometimes beyond), you are bound to make the odd mistake.

Hamilton's tussles with Alonso were one of the more interesting aspects of the British GP.

It was quite gratifying to see a 2-time world champion and a soon-to-be ex champion, fighting over 16th place as though they were competing for the win.

Considering all the other stuff thats going on in F1 right now and also considering how uncompetitive the racing at the top of the grid can be, it restored some of my faith in the sport.

As long as there are drivers like Hamilton and Alonso in the sport, it will be worth watching.

One final note. I'm happy that Button's finally having his time in the sun, although I hope Barichello and the Red Bull drivers push him all the way, to keep things interesting.

hamilton. best driver ever. not in a million years. i hear mention of button being lucky. hamilton has had more than his share of luck. and he only won cos he was in the best car. i do agree that he is not a bad as the car makes him look at the mo. but the car is only part of the problem. last year, same car as kovy, beat him in every way. this year same cars again, the gap has almost disappeared. LH is like a arsenal footballer, when winning, is like yeah its all me. when losing it's i'm trying but this and that are to blame. he cannot handle the fact he isn't in the best car. he needs to get his head back in it.
mclaren would do well to get next years car sorted. just like brawn did. but if bert and ernie hadn't changed the rules like they did. brawn would have been left behind several races ago. they will steadily go backwards and i sure mclaren will improve to point scoring most of the time. and LH will start to drive properly again.

"hamilton has had more than his share of luck. and he only won cos he was in the best car"

Strange, I don't remember much going Hamilton's way last year and just because Hamilton won doesn't instantly mean he has the best car. Who won the Constructors?

==========================

Not strange at all. Hamilton always tries to push the car to its limits, and in an unstable car these limits are easily found by Hamilton.
