Ole Bulls Batter Brawns

comment on the article

Seb Vettel's drive was almost an exibition drive. He got off the stsrt well and need to defend against Barrichello who also got away well. From then on he just drove away from the pack. The Brawn's did not perform well and Rubens drove a great race to get on the podium. Jenson struggled all through the race and in the end was lucky to finish in his starting place. The best racing of the day was the dice between Alonso and Hamilton, which got the crowd on their feet when Hamilton put it down the inside of Alonso. Hamilton drove a solid race in his truck of a car.

It was great to see the camaraderie between Rubino and Seb at the end and good to Adrian Newey picking up the trophy for Red Bull. A great race to watch and a thorougly deserved one, two for Red Bull.
Brawn and Button now need to look over their shoulders for the rest of the season.

I think I must have been watching a different race to a number of people here, personally I thought it was a boring race to the extent I nearly fell asleep!
Let's hope the next one is more interesting!

Who cares anyway?

No-one could ever say that even one of the top three drivers will win the title this year as it is more than ever the car that will win it. I would say that Kimi, Alonoso and Hamilton in a fair fight would probably be the top three with your Vettels and Buttons fighting for the lower points places and Massa not bothering to race as he knows while he is in that red car he will be awarded a million points by the stewards at the end of the race anyway!

But joking aside, did anyone find it highly amusing when Mosely said he is making decisions to prtect the future of F1, when he has actuially done exactly the oposite - AND - in calling fellow professional people loonies, he comes accross as a very deluded and childish person. Scarily, did anyone notice that bernie said yesterday that the only way Max will ever go is if he decides to leave - I thought he had to be voted in.....makes the MPs look saintly! Nice to see the old masonic boys clubs are still going strong!

Silverstone is a great track that has endlessly produced classic races in the past, but this was a long way from being one of them.

It was great for the championship to see Vettel win, as he is definitely Button's main challenger, as Barrichello is never going to gain 17 points in the same car.

Should be an interesting rest of the season, with Button and Brawn looking over their shoulders as Vettel edges ever nearer.

Button won't be that far behind at every track, but Red Bull clearly have the momentum now.

"Ole Bulls Batter Brawns"

Batter? A Brawn finished 3rd and 6th. Jenson may have finished higher if he hadnt got held up by Trulli at the start. I cant understand why people think the season is changing because of one result.

Fair play to Red Bull, i hope Webber can win a few races as he really deserves it, and Vettel is obviously a future champion. But as for this season, they need to back one of their drivers, which is probably going to be Vettel, but he still makes too many mistakes to catch Jenson up in my opinion.

I didn't see the race, caught the last 20 mins of the highlights on BBC2 last night. It looked boring, not because Jenson did not win but it looked processional. I left the room for a few moments to top up my wine and we semmed to have skipped 24 or more laps on my return, which suggests nothing happened.

If that is the last race at Silverstone, a bit of a sad race but i disagree that you can not overtake, Lewis did overtake Alonso, but that was about the only action i spotted.

I am a tad worried about the stated reasons for Brawn not to perform, Jenson was clearly off form the whole weekend, did not set his car up correctly if it was hitting the ground, Rubens performance was consistent with his previous races so it doesn't seem like the car was the main problem, but the set up, in my humble opinion. That said, undoubtedly Red Bull have brought the fight to Brawn now.
Good that Jenson must now fight a little harder to win the title, it would be nice to have a race on our hands even though I am supporting Jenson.

Vettel needs to pick up 3 points off Jenson every race, the Brawn looks rock solid on reliability so that'd mean him outracing Jenson and outpacing the Car for every single race, hell, he could come second to him for the rest of the season and still win the championship.

Do you honestly think that?
