Just read that Ro is to be the captain for the new season. altough he is my fav player and he deserves the role Im not to sure if he is the man to do it. Ive always belived that it should be the person who has the ability to lead, inspire the rest of the team and also have the ability to change the course of the match in a stance like a midfielder. athough I dont go to many home games as I live in the north east I dont know who would be the best person to take the captaincy although I wouldnt mind flecther. would do you think and bring on newcastle and boro away . come on you greens.

ROMAIN Larrieu is the new Argyle club captain.

However, Ro will not be team captain and lead the Pilgrims out in the 2009-10 Coca-Cola Championship season.

I agree, the captain should be an outfield player,preferably in the engine room.I'm still worried about the goalie situation, hate to see Stack go.

Hate to see stack go! Are you having a laugh a bad attitude player who has a big ego and cant catch a football lol.
On Larrieu being captain dont think its a bad idea, he does deserve it although i would have chosen fletcher myself and had Larrieu as vice captain.

Larrieu is club captain which is different to the captain on the field.

I expect someone else (Fletcher?) to wear the armband during matches.
