More info
Having lost to Sri Lanka before in the current competition, West Indies will probably take to the field today as underdogs.

Notwithstanding this, I believe West Indies is in with a great chance of winning this tournament. And if Windies are in fact poised to unveil a secret bowling weapon today - as is being claimed - they may easily mow Sri Lanka down!

Sri Lanka. One word WOW. Feel sorry for Chris, he himself should play in the final with Sri Lanka or Pakistan.

Ruggy,

Were they all bowled, though?

And did it happen in the very first over of a match. That is the question, Rugs; it was not about a hat-trick.

Rugger, my last post possibly does come across as a bit wum or sour grapes but I am just disappointed because this tournament has not produced the magic I was hoping for as a sceptical T20 viewer.
Many games were dead rubbers, even leading into the semi final stages, and many have been won easily by one or the other teams. And to cap it all, the teams that I like to watch, Australia, Windies, South Africa and us have fallen by the wayside. Yes, for me, this has been a disastrous tournament but of course I wish Pakistan and Sri Lanka a great day in the final. Lets be honest, one of those countries is going to go nuts and well deserved.

an all bowled hat trick has never been done in the first over.

but has been done three times (I looked this up btw) first by C sharma of india against NZ, then by akram against australia then by Morrison of NZ against india.

as far as first over hat-tricks go, I believe Vaas took one in the first 3 balls against zimbabwe once.

Pathan hat-trick was in 1st over, and Pakistan infamously won the test.

however, they weren't all bowled. a truly unique feat by angelo

Ah, the air is fresh once more, now that the WUMs are not around right now....

Actually, rookie, this has been a very good 20/20 competition, even if the Windies did get crushed in the semis!

Sri Lanka have beaten everbody in their path, and fully deserve their place in the final. And in Pakistan, you have the classic underdog, who defied the odds to reach the final, upsetting South Africa on the way....

What more could you ask for?
