Hello

This could be the turning point of the season. Red Bull will look to turn their sizzling qualifying performance yesterday into a race win at Silverstone, with championship leader Jenson Button having already written off his hopes of a victory on home turf. As for Lewis Hamilton, I've got more chance of winning.

Race under way at 1300 BST. Follow the action here:

Perhaps this question has been posed before, if it was,
I don't ever remember what the answer was or indeed if there was one.

Why when any of the british drivers stand on the top podium,
is there only ever one national anthem played when everyone else has two played. Don't we deserve the same, even if the same anthem is played twice?

b.t.w. well done Red Bull and Vettel for a great Silverstone victory. I am a McLaren fan myself but, credit given where credit is most certainly due.

Excellent input from Eddie Jordan today: authoritative yet respectful and clearly recognised as such by current and former colleagues in F1.

well done to barichello (he is certainly better than button) and extremely well done to massa for climbing 7 places and to rosberg for holding off button

You really think it makes sense to play the same national anthem twice? I don't see the point.

If a British driver from a non-British team (can't think of any off-hand now anyway?) wins, then obviously two anthems should, and would be played. But the same anthem twice? Can't see why? Driver and team share nationalities, and national anthems.

Just my view smiley

There is an anthem for driver and constructor, both button and BrawnGP are british, therefore one anthem is played

The performance of a true champion - a new top tier driver has arrived. Surely the performance of the season so far. Vettel will take over now and bring the WDC, WC to Redbull. Plenty of time left to get the job done. Button and Co. will remain 2nd tier and back where they belong.

"well done to barichello (he is certainly better than button) and extremely well done to massa for climbing 7 places and to rosberg for holding off button"

Then how has Button consistently out qualified him, outpaced him and outright beaten him in almost every race of the season, in the same car??

Where's all this Jenson bashing come from? Redbull are hardly a "first tier" team themselves! No doubt Vettel is the bright light of the future, but don't take anything from Jenson, he still finished well in the points and has persistently outdriven his experienced team mate nearly all season long. He's taken a dominant car and won with it consistently, something that Lewis didn't do with his two mcclaren supercars...If Jenson gets another 4 wins this season, he will have won more grand prixs in a single season than any other British driver. And don't give me "its the car"...i don't see Rubens with any winners medals...

Just to go back on your point that it\s not the car. Well from what i heard from the coverage of the race is that this was the first time that Rubbens did not share his setup with Jenson. Therefore i can\t wait for the next race and see if the trend continues as in that Jenson has to find his own setup and may not get it right again. What do you think_
