6 games is not many to decide on who will go to the African Nations Cup. Egypt has played two of the six.

Soon, Egypt plays Rwanda in two head to head games.

They should be able to.

Zambia drew Egypt at the Cathedral. So, Egypt needs to defeat them at Zambia and obviously, to defeat Algeria in a match in Cairo.

Algeria and Zambia are both strong enough teams on the continent of Africa itself as the rankings show.

So Egypt played Italy and Brazil in a game. Someone said "Egypt showed Italy for what they are" and so it should be fair to be able to speak up on the topic.

But a lot of the world cups are tainted, '34, '78, '86 it's part of the World Cup but I don't think it is necessarily a reflection on the best, just who is the best at tricks. Also, the world cup has been more oriented to Europe and South America, with no fault by FIFA too much.

A book could be written, Spain by the way, were harder done in 2002.

Or you can look at 1994 and the way both Brazil to Tab Ramos or Italy to Luis Enriquez had players throwing vicious elbows.

1982 and Schumacher's dirty play. 1954 and the possible drug use by the German team. 1974 with the flooded pitch between W. Germany and Poland, sopped up in areas advantageous to W. Germany.

1938, pitch invasion in Brazil/Italy game because of the refereeing. Look for videos of that anywhere. They are hard to locate.

Even the net says this but I don't see much other back up, we simply do not know what happened:

this is a complete joke. the only reason why english people hate the italian national team is because theyre more successful, now whoever this biggot is who thinks that italy didnt deserve the world cup, no team wins the wc without "deserving it". mind you, at least they didnt need an incorrect decision to help them win one of their many world cups, eh?
they DO have a negative style of football, but theyre the second most successful national team in history.

My friend; may be now you know how Egypt doesn't show up in the World Cup; the team suffers from inconsistency; the coach, though admirable man, always experiments weird tactics at the wrong time and recalculates simple math when it is obvious! Italy are not quite themselves; they need overhauling, and Brazil are always the best of all regardless any result. Hard luck Egypt and Italy, Good luck and congratulations to the USA and Brazil.

The thing is - Egypt are not that good (otherwise they wouldn't be struggling to qualify for the world cup).

In the first game Brazil hadn't woken up yet, and at the moment Italy are just awful. The USA showed Egypt for what they really are.
