Goonerman78 (U8756479) posted Jun 4, 2009 The Arsenal job has been taken by Tony Gervaise, a Scot who has been working with Vic Akers for the last year with a view to him taking over. He used to be Head of Youth Development for Scotland, which I guess explains the amount of Scottish women at Arsenal!

Mr Barwick enjoy your £1.5m...hope its enough.

uptonparkbornandbred (U12224992) posted Jun 4, 2009 Many years ago when I was still playing (before injury forced me to quit) I faced Hope Powell several times. She was by far an outstanding player (and a decent and very likeable person). She has obviously taken this ability through to the England scene and I've no doubt that she would continue to improve the 'England Women setup' regardless of what title/position she held (including the cleaning, washing, ironing and cooking as suggested by the idiot 'betterdobetter')
