Justice_wa_Baruti (U7933972) posted Aug 14, 2009 Funny how any Liverpool story always end up being spoiled a bunch of mancucian WUMs who seem to be obsessed with anything made in Liverpool. History of football made in Liverpool, Music made in Liverpool, Mancs striker partnership made in Liverpool etc. We have not won the league in 19yrs yet all you can think of is Liverpool that, Liverpool that geez.

adam kingdon (U9484542) posted Aug 14, 2009 Good business, if Liverpool finish 5th or lower the banks may panic, Torres will be worth 120 gazillion, or Gerrard may be offloaded for about 60

BillBobRafa (U13811079) posted Aug 15, 2009 I think this deal would be better termed as just a pay increase. He hasn't extended the term of his contract at all. He signed til 2113 originally, and still keeps that date, only with an option for an extension of one more year. That still means he's committed at this point in time for a shorter period (by 2 years/or 1 year if extension option used) than when he signed. Having said all of that.... Torres is worth the pay increase, so it's good business - just wish it was reported more accurately.
