The action is already under way at the slalom Euros in Nottingham.

Qualifying in the women's K1 and men's C2 started earlier on Thursday, with more to follow on Friday - then it's the semis and finals on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the first big test for the top British and European paddlers since the Olympics, it's one of the first major events in any Olympic sport since Beijing.

I'm going to be at the National Water Sports Centre in Holme Pierrepont all weekend, reporting for the BBC Sport website as well as sending back updates and pics using Twitter and Flickr.
