Live - Monaco Grand Prix

Formula One
comment on the article

Relief. After the torturous infighting of the last couple of weeks, we can get back to the good stuff: and it gets no better than the Monaco Grand Prix. If you're not excited about this weekend, I worry for you. I do.

Follow it all here:

Tell me your hopes and fears here. About the Monaco Grand Prix. Not about life in general. Although, if it gets quiet...

rony, it's called ambition. If he just said next year i hope to improve and finish 10th, what kind of sign would that be sending out? doh

He's won it before so why shouldn't he aim to win it again.

I'm no Hamilton fan by any stretch of the imagination and i prefer Button, but it looks like your being petty and trying to take something bad out of any comment he makes. Plank

Haha, that just sums up that you're not the best of fans if you think watching the team you support is a waste of money...

------------

I'm not super-rich, I can watch games that I can afford. Why should I spend money that I barely have to watch what is for us, a friendly.

I have always liked Button, and before this yeas, always thought he was a better driver than people has given credit for. Now that he has got good car, he is proving his worth.

As for Hami, I am sick of all media frenzy about him for last couple of years. He won in wet races, he became a tremendous wet driver and people started comparing him with legends like Schumacher, etc. He won in Monaco, now he becomes a great Monaco driver. People forgot that he might had a great car. I am not saying he is an average driver, but some people should wait before comparing him against shumi, senna, etc. And I bet some other great drivers would scored at least some point if they had a bad quali like him.

Its like there is no other talented driver in the grid. I still remember his crashing in Raikonnen's car in the pit and later saying I am sorry if i ruined his race. What do mean 'if' I ruined his race, you destroyed his race.

The point is, if all drivers had exactly the same car then we would REALLY find out who the best drivers are and therefore give credit where it is genuinely due. Personally I am more interested in human ability than technological expertise. Imagine giving a tennis player a racket that can hit the ball twice as hard as his competitor - no one would entertain that - yet in F1 that ideology is completely acceptable!

Great race and good coverage: the cars actually LOOKED fast rather than have TV slow them down. My enjoyment was spoiled by a yellow banner on screen throughout proclaiming "LIVE TENNIS". If I was a tennis fan I would know anyway.... and NOTHING would have made me move away from the race today!! BBC ...why?

F1 is as much about the competition between teams as it is about competition between drivers.

I wondered what the impovements on the Ferrari are ? Kimi alighted to new improvements that are "within the rules " or are they still smarting over the diffuser decision?
