2 disappointing misses which lost Mark the game.It was simply down to inexperience. There will be many more opportunities for Mark in the future.Allen really did light up the tournament the past fortnight.HARD LUCK MARK, GREAT PERFORMANCE!!

Just when snnoker could have recieved a welcomed shot in the arm, Higgins gets to final, zzzzzzzzzz. fair play to the guy, but percentage snooker doesn't put bums on seats. Allen v Robertson final, now that would have been a real shootout and got people talking again.

comment by VettelRules (U13870453)posted 1 Hour AgoIt wasn't inexperience. It was a lack of bottle and self control. He got way too excited after making that break of 8. He doesn't have the temperament to be a world championSometimes, I wonder if such stupid comments are posted by BBC staff looking to spice things up a bit. I refuse to believe that anyone with an ounce of understanding of the game could ite 'lack of bottle' for a loss sustained by a man who beat two top-16 players - including the defending champion - in incredibly close matches before making a huge comeback against one of the all-time great players. And even if you do somehow cling onto such a belief, the idea that it's enough to pass his entire career off when he's only 23 is just simply laughable.Stick to your own sport in future.
To genuine snooker fans they recognise when players deserve to be in the final and John deserves it.He is there to win the world title and bums will be on seats at a packed out Crucible throughout the final so blows your theory out of the water somewhat. Also a lot of people are glad Allen won't be there because of his persona so those once a year snooker fans will be glad John is there as well.
im glad allen lost as hes a right cocky little twerp
ChelseapouriGOODBYE allen, O sullivan FOREVER .****Well said mate. Ronnie's gonna take that soft lad apart next time.
Well, I disliked him at the beginning but now I think he's great, he's good for the game, he has an attractive style and he brings some much needed oomph.Well played Mark (this from a big Ronnie fan)
Credit to Allen for pulling it back, but like others am absolutely delighted that Allen lost. No fist pumping and shouting out today then Mark? Hopefully Allen will note that Higgins had some respect for his opponent - unlike the arrogant Allen

Ronnie did say himself or Higgins. i fancy Higgins to win tomorrow
Its sad to see so many critical of Allen.I watch snooker now and again, but he certainly had me watching every frame.Fair play to Higgins, got the job done.Allen brings something to the game.To all the bitter Ronnie fans.......We are bored of O'Sullivans rants, bored of his poor performances, bored to tears hearing you criticize anyone who beats him. When snooker is played over 25/30 frames the best man wins and Allen beat Ronnie fair and square.
