Well done cherries!

League Two Bournemouth
comment on the article

As a Pompey supporter with a soft spot for the cherries, I'd like to congratulate you guys on maintaining your football league status this season, in spite of everything that was thrown at you.

You're a great team - I've been to Dean Court a couple of times this season, and was always met with a warm welcome and friendly banter. Long may these times continue!

Here's to you storming the league next season, and to gaining promotion back to League one, and who knows? There's now an empty space in the championship for a south-coast club!

Cracking to see Fletch and the Cherries maintain league status, it'll be good to see you back at Saltergate next season!

It's touching to get so many congratulations from pompey fans. I remember hearing "are you bournemouth in disguise" being chanted when you were 2-0 up against milan. Such a nice bunch of supporters!

At least that's quite witty, although I don't suppose Milan caught their meaning.
