After all, quite a few of the people who want the Super Bowl over here have probably never went to an BAFL or BritBowl match. (Admittedly, some of you will have).

Killian Red(fatty or bulldog) (U1821831) posted Apr 27, 2009 i am an american living over here in the uk , played college football and have been to see the nfl at wembley. i will go out on a limb and say this will never happen in my lifetime. superbowl's are bid on like the olympics and awarded ahead of time right now 2012 is in indianapolis , talks are in about new orleans for 2013. so if discussions dont take place for another 3/4 yrs you are looking at 2018 at the earliest. just imagine the uproar in the US if it was awarded to london ? the nfl's reputation would take a huge hit amongst its huge american fanbase. my call and i know its a bad time what with the swine flu goin about , mexico gets the first international superbowl

Therapon (U5193521) posted Sep 29, 2009 It would be great to see the Superbowl over here but as a collegue just said 'we may let the game down'? Interest on the NFL may be growing in the UK but most of us Brits are insular and actually think Soccer is bigger than American Football!
