Live - Sunday's Premier League & FA Cup

comment on the article

Hopefully, the weekend starts here. After what might have been dubbed 'Subdued Saturday', Sunday is sure to sparkle. I can feel it in my water.

Two enormous Premier League games and an FA Cup semi-final - I know the sun's shining brightly outside, but there might as well not be an outside for us today.

I hope you have as much fun as I think you're going to (though I have known to be wrong, from time to time).

And the treble is the FA Cup, Premier League, and Champions League, the three biggest competitions available for english teams.

How many played in the league cip final earlier this year also?

Seriously that isn't weak. going through major games with no senior strikers and a 4-6-0 formation, THAT'S weak. Losing Arteta and Yakubu for a squad as small as ours, that's weak. ..
.
Trying to argue that Vidic, Ferdinand, Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Park, Tevez wouldn't waltz straight into Everton's 1st choice 18, (it is a squad game now and it's the 7 subs on the bench, almosyt as much as the 11 that start these days), with several if not all of them pushing for starting place, That's very weak.

Hey, it's truer than you think. I went home sick, from work, on the 21st of Jan 2008. I've hardly been out of my house, except to go to hospital or the docs since. So I literaly have no life outside of the internet. Fortunately I have 2 kids and a beautiful wife to keep my spirits up. That and the mighty Everton FC, who are getting better and better each season. If Moyes can get money to add 1 or 2 players of the quality w have now, or better (Deja vu I know) WITHOUT having to sell anyone who know maybe it will finally be a return to the top 4. Especially as the rich wannabees are all likely to sack their managers by October.:)

F.A cup, let's win it.

How come when Liverpool won the Worthington Cup, the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup that was called a treble then?

If, a very big if, United add the Premier League and the Champions League to the Carling Cup and The World Club Cup then that would be four trophies in 1 season, i.e. a quadruple. So yes, they can win the quadruple.

Whether they will is another thing, I personally think the Champions League is between Chelsea and Barca.

United were ok, and so were Everton, evenly matched between 120 mins but it is luck when it comes down to penalties

Sorry my bad I didn't write it that clearly when I said they can't win the treble I meant it as in THE treble not A treble. Liverpool won A treble and United won THE treble in 1999. That's why United are seen as the only team to win the treble.

Suffice to say, all those who claimed that Chelsea-Everton would be a thrilling final will have changed their opinions after that yesterday.
