In Arsene we trust

Premier League Arsenal

comment on the article

Just a few months ago i read several articles on this board from our own fans calling for Wengers head. It did not suprise me as every team has a set of plastic fans that sit and watch matches looking constipated.

But he saw something in these players that no one else saw and he beleived in them and showed faith in them by not going out and buying just because some fans start moaning instead of getting behind their team.

Their is no other manager that i can think of who could come in and maintain the quality of our play. So i say thank you Mr Wenger for making Arsenal the club we are today and any true Arsenal fan will agree with me.

Smoking gunner is rught, Henry leaving has thrown a few players at the deep end, and they are swimming!!!!
feb 2008- Feb 2009 quite poor, however we started last season, and are ending this one very strong- next year we need to keep the consistency all year. squad definitely needs some strengthening

I appreciate Arsene's policy, but as much trust as I have had in him for the last four years especially, I am beginning to get a bit fed up and it's not just his transfer policy. Yes, we do need more experienced players, an able, confident goalkeeper, a strong, decisive defensive midfielder and a prolific, proved striker are the main three positions. OK we have Almunia, experienced? able? consistant? ... Song, Denilson, Diaby? decisive? strong? And Adebayor and VP, well one's not consistent enough and the others always injured!!

But the 2nd thing that Wenger needs to change is is tactics... the changes he made on Saturday against Chelsea were pointless, and someone please tell me why he didn't start Arshavin or Nasri... argubly two of out best players this season!! Bendtner for Adebayor.. WHAT!?! Two similar players, apart from Adebayor has more technical ability... pointless change. HE ALWAYS BRINGS WALCOTT OFF TOO!!!

He needs to get his thinking straight...he's had long enough, but he always makes excuses...

Goonerglaand - spot on mate - strange team selection and must say I reckon AW got it wrong - would have had one striker in either Ade or Van the man with Arshavin (fresh having not played in midweek) supporting.
The subs too weren't the best but there you go.
Yes he got it wrong but that happens - sir Alex's selection was strange too and I'm sure Man U fans are equally perplexed by it.
Still, I don't think the defeat was so bad that we need to start looking for another manager. If we won people would have been praising Wenger's selection and saying what a good judge the man is - how to please the masses - virtually impossible I'm afraid!!

YES,THIS IS JUST TO SHOW THAT HUMANS ARE NOT PERFECT AND CAN MAKE MISTAKE,WELL,THIS WAS JUST TO SHOW THAT WENGER IS A HUMAN AS WELL,TO ME HE IS THE BEST COACH,HE MAY NOT HAVE ACHIEVED LIKE SENIOR,ALEX FERGUSON,BT HE HAS SHOWN THE WORLD THAT HE CAN MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING,JUST GIVE HIM PATIENCE AND AM SURE HE WOULD DO SOMETHING VERY SOON.LETS PRAY FOR HIM AND OUR ARSENAL BROTHERS,THEY NEED OUR PRAYER AND SUPPORT,IF U LOVE THEM JUST SUPPORT THEM WITH UR PRAYERS AND WISHES,HE MADE THOSE MISTAKES OF KEEPING ALMIGHTY ASHAVIN ON THE BENCH AND POWERFUL NASRI,THAT WS A MISTAKE,I BELIEVE NEXT SEASON WOULD BE GREAT IF WE CAN KEEP THE GUYS TOGETHER AND GET MORE TO BUILD,ARSENAL WILL BE A STRONG FORCE TO RECORN WITH.CHEERS TO ALL GUNNERS FANS WORLWIDE,MAY GOD BLESS US ALL AND GRANT OUR WISHES OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.AMEN.

arsene just has a wierd idea when it comes to his transfer policy, why buy players who just play for 3 years and u sell them while at the same time u preach of consistance. I belive u can be consistant by first keeping those players who r gud. Arsene just got it wrong when he sold Hleb and Flamini and here is another season for us arsenal fans thats ending without anything to be proud of. The sad news is Cesc might leave at the end of this season mark my words. It seems arsene does not have a gud policy in tryibg hard to keep his players he seems to be gud at self distructing just for the sack of looking after the clubs bank statement which is not his job description.

I think Arsenal should make some changes in their transfer polices....... and more so, they should try and keep their best foot rather than selling them out or letting them go on free transfers.

...hmmm may be by showing that they are cherish and needed,.....increasing their wages and stuff like that...

Winning trophies do matters, no matter how good you are as a coach.

I can't get over how many Arsenal fans seem to think that Flamini or Hleb would even make the Arsenal bench this year, when they can't hack it for the inferior teams they went to.

We have seen how well Walcott and Song have done in their stead. Yes, we have had injuries but I still don't think they merited a star salary when they would have been riding the pine all season. That seemed to be AW's view too.

Deadley Ledley: Diaby has a hell of a lot to offer, I'd rather have him than, say, Anderson, Ji-Sung Park, or Lucas Leiva.

ToledoTrumpton: I agree to a certain extent, Hleb probably wouldn't beat Arshavin or Walcott to a starting spot, but Flamini would have been useful while Cesc was out this year.
I'm looking forward to seeing Arshavin in the Champions League next year.

goonerglaand26: we have three prolific, proven strikers already in Adebayor, RVP and Eduardo, which is more than either Liverpool or Chelsea. Almunia and Fabianski are both very solid keepers capable of occasional brilliance - Almunia in particular hasn't been noticeably worse than van der Sar, Reina or Cech this year. We do need another quality centre-back, Toure and Gallas are quality and Djourou has a lot to offer, but Silvestre is simply not good enough.
