IPL to be played outside IndiaTwenty20 England by lifecricketdave (U11215514) 22 March 2009 The Indian Premier League will not be held in India this year. The clash with the Indian general election has meant the government are unable to guarantee adequate security for the IPL matches and so now the tournament is being lined up to take place in another country. South Africa and England have been touted as possible options. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

danish300 (U13884295) posted Mar 23, 2009 I would recommend Dubai over England but that is a personal choice. I feel in order for the intensity and anticipation to remain by the T20WC the IPL tournament won’t be an ideal scenario making matches overloaded and affect the audience’s interest in at least one affair. Also one shall consider venue shortages due to county cricket and the unpredictable weather conditions.
