Murray v Ljubicic

comment on the article

OK guys. Andy Murray v Ivan Ljubicic.

Should be a walk in the park for the world number four... surely.

Britain's finest will win every event from now on won't he?

will - "Rich coming Nadal fanboys. Murray won, I hope it gets right up your nose".

Yes, I was expecting Ljubicic to beat Murray. Probably should have rather watched replays of the Stoke/West Brom match.

Actually, I thought Andy played okay, but Old Ivan played a blinder. Hat's off to him - it made for an incredibly tight and entertaining match!

I thought his volleying of the ground was the best I've seen this season. A masterclass. As a Murray fan, I was relieved he got through in 2 sets, but as a tennis fan I was half hoping for a 3 setter to see more Lubo magic!

Ljubcic is getting better this year.I think he will return to his best.
My prediction:Del Potro against Verdasco in the final.
Murray tennis is boring.

Nothing like a Murray victory to cheese off the Nadal worshipers, especailly one where he played awfully. Chin up zoo-loo old bean.

"Murray challanges the call it was called out but it shows it was in by challaged Ljubicic and the umpire thought it was out but the thing was in and they have to replay the point and then he losses his concentration"

It was actually totally out. Sadly, for Ljubo the camera caught the second bounce which landed on the line. I think that at that point he had the match and his luck went south. That said, I dont think that Murray would had lasted another set. He was a lot more tire than Ljubo. Good win for Murray though.

"I'm wondering, has Andy Murray been winning more than his fair share of matches with his opponent 'retired hurt' recently?"

BBC journo's answer: Sam, I don't know. I just don't know.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Classic stuff, even Ben Dirs isn't worse than this guy. Good to see the BBC and its mug journos taking tennis seriously as usual.

that's an interesting take on it...and actually makes a lot of sense. Good thinking (if it was you thinking it that is! :))

Fed v Verdasco - Watched the match and some great rallies and some pretty ordinary stuff - Anyone agree that Verdasco looks like he has too many moving parts! He seems to hace St.Vitus dance half the time - He needs to calm himself down as he does not play the big points particularly well as he is too wound up. Also he is the only person I have ever seen celebrate wining a 4-6 point in the tiebreak like he had just broken serve! Needless to say Fed won the next point and the match!
