after watching such a awful performance from boro today, they totally gave in and let an average pompey performance dominate them, the only player that looked like gave a damn about the team and actually playing football was tuncay, ran himself ragged today and altho he was not great he shown his commitment and desire to never give in! i dont think we deserve him and the players dont deserve him as a team mate, he constantly was looking for the right pass but where were they? hiding behind pompey players, no1 wanted the ball apart from tuncay and if any1 atall in the team deserves a big club move, its not johnson, downing or alves, its tuncay!

completely agree with patty the only player who looked interested and gave his all for the club was tuncay. Based on that display he should be our captain.

Tuncay should be at a much better club than Middlesborough!

Boro dont deserve to be in the premier league never mind have tuncay. their 'fans' (or at least the people who bother to show up) are hypocrites and the football they play is championship standard at best. Not to mention the shocking tackles their players seem to come up with every game. I for one hope they go down this season.

Raggi, were all aware of that & realise how lucky we are to have a player of his quality.

But his performances have been poor since his head was turned in Jan & has only got back to anywere near his best in the last few games.

Like I said earlier, he would fit in at Arsenal IMO.

DDTW, i think it was a coincedence about the chelsea thing. i think he suffered burnout from the euro's over the summer, even GS said he realised that in hindsight (in one of his interviews a few weeks ago).

deffo think Tuncay should be captain tho, he can motiveate the others and they can follow his example set on his workrate, and Tunc seems to have the strength to tell the others what to do, and jeer them up whereas with poggy i dont see that, esp after they have just conceeded a goal, Tuncay tells the others to keep their head up, i dont see that from pogz

TUNCAY 4 CAPTAIN

Warney-6 - wouldn't normally waste my time commenting on such childish drivel but, as I've got time, I'll do so. ...................... There you go, that's what your view is worth. Now, anyone with anything worthwhile to say? <laugh>

you are right he put's in 100% but at times he's a headless chicken, running and dribbling into deadends or finally looking up and finding he's managed to get himself over near the corner flag. We lack a big enough pool of quality players to pick from, we lack leaders/communicators, Boro get a pat on the back for the youth system but we have only really produced Downing who can be considered an out and out Premiership performer, possibly Wheater will get there to be fair? But his form and goal threat has diminished Viduka/Yak/Hasselbaink masked how rubbish the likes of Arca are. Digard(nah not good enough, Championship player). What team starts a season without a goalie, no centre mids or a right sided mid wanting to play for the club? Boro.
