Of course the irony is that there are quite a lot of exasperated fans of much bigger clubs who would say she surely can't do any worse than one we've got!

What, because she's a woman and lost 2-1 in her first match against a team much better than hers it's a big deal?

No, because she was only contracted for one match.

She said she would be up for a position as manager elsewhere since her time at Fisher is over.

Why have so many comments on this article been removed? There have been plenty of sexist comments that I disagree with with but that is part of a debate... The level of moderation on these forums is ridiculous.

On another point the number of people on here that are outraged that Powell's managerial career is finished at Fisher clearly have no idea about the whole story. She raised 500 to be 'manager for a day'. This was not a long term replacement.

By the way - the fans were chanting for her to get back in the kitchen but apparently she has never been in a kitchen which I find rather surprising... Instead she chooses to 'do' football.

"They were shouting 'stay in the kitchen', but I've never been in a kitchen and I'll never go into a kitchen."

Never been into a kitchen? she's nearly 30! how did she manage to accomplish this she must be starving? Baffling.

I'm guessing that kitchen thing may have been a joke, but the way the country is going she could have survived on takeaways 7 days a week. :)
