Kevin pietersen continues his post captaincy good form, with 90 off only 71 balls today.
The former captain hit 17 fours and took a considerable liking to wallace, who he hit for 5 fours in an over. Eventually he was bowled by test hopeful jaggernauth.
His good form continues from the hundred in the last warm up match, and also a century in the second test vs india. I feel pietersen could well score an avalanche of runs on this tour which will put him in good stead for the windies return series and the ashes
Elsewhere new captain strauss continues his form as well with 97 today, following on from his 2nd innings century in the previous match. He was bowled by wallace for 97. Good signs from strauss as it doesnt look like the captaincy is affecting his batting so far, but we'll have to wait and see whether this good form continues into the test series.
Owais shah was out for 9 LBW to jaggernauth, it remains to be seen who out of shah and bell will be picked for the first test
The other major contribution came from collingwood, who scored 82 before gettng out to mcclean, prior gave him good support with 36, with sidebottom and swann chipping in.
West Indies A reached 16 without loss before the match was called a draw.
Here is my team for the first test:
panesar (drop after 1st test for swann/rashid if a poor match from him)
Who would you pick for the first test?
Score is 261-4
shah out for 9 to jaggernauth, collingwood on 27 and prior on 7
current score 295-5 at lunch
colly on 33, having hit two sixes, prior on 18, run rate has slowed a little but 50 partnership nearly up
colly has reached his fifty, 57 on 102 balls, but prior and swann have been dismissed
UPDATE: england 414 all out, colly out for 82
west indies A reach 16 without loss before the game is called a draw
