true - it will definitely help England national team.

Nowadays - they are afraid. Also the money is in england but the football is out there.

I believe Fabio Capello was screaming for Lamps to come to Inter but i respect his decision. (the reason i say that is becos he would benefit for his international career - domestically he is an umbelievable player but not so internationally)
--------------------------------

its very true. in fairness to lampard, he's become almost chelsea through and through so maybe for him, a move like that can never happen. but too many players earnbig wages too quickly, and they'll be thinking "why i should leave what is though of as the best league in the world" i think manager who have fring youngsters shold look to get them loanded abroad, they'd come back better players for it

... he is a far better passer of a football than Mascherano. He is a defensive midfielder ...

He goes forward and supports the strikers at the right time and is always back to help out in defence when needed, something the amazing Stevie G struggles with.

You say Carrick is 100 times better than Hargreaves, thats just garbage. They play different positions first of all and i would'nt see much difference in their natural ability.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Where's the logic in that reply? You're questioning my comparison to Carrick... the player he is in most competition with for a first team place, as though Carrick has never had a holding role before, then you go and compare him to Gerrard... an Attacking Midfielder!

Better than Mascherano? Please... the only department that he's better than Mascherano in is not being a dirty Argentinian diver who tries to get opposition players booked. He's Liverpool's 2nd best midfielder behind Gerrard. Where's Hargreaves in the same list among Man United's squad?

Masch is the better holding midfielder, especially at what a holding midfielder is supposed to do but i'd rather have someone like OH or De Rossi because they have more to their game as De Rossi is a fine passer as well as a long shot and technically very good, whilst OH has a very good box to box engine and cross. I prefer my holding midfielder to have more to their game than just sitting and destroying opposition attacks. Thats just my preference, give me OH, Cambiasso, De Rossi, etc, over the likes of Masch, Makalele, M Diarra, etc, anyday, even if Masch is probably the best at destroying

Malkay - OH is probably our best open play crosser. He is pretty damn good at crossing. All one has to do is look at the Roma game at OT last season to see how well he got down the right wing numerous times and put in some great crosses in. No one in our squad comes close to OH when it comes to defensive work in midfield, no one at all. Carrick, Ando and Fletch are nowhere near, hence why we sometimes come short defensively in midfield in big games.

Hergreaves absence really tell on manutd's CL final against berca. Hergreaves, Flecther and Carrick would have been a great midfield against the berca midfield. I just pray this should not be the end of his carreer as he is one of my priceless midfielders in the game.

Personally, it's Owen Hargeaves drive which was emulated at the World Cup, which makes him a World Class player.

However, injury could see him leave sooner than later, what a shame, what a waste.

I have great sympathy for Hargreaves, at Bayern he became a great player and his move to United looked like the opportunity he has craved for so long to get back into english football. But now, it seems he's turned into another Ledley King or Jonathan Woodgate, players that would easily get into the England squad when fit but are never able to.

" Hargreaves is different to any other player in the world - his experience at the top level and desire to win makes him an untouchable asset to the Man Utd and England squads
"
