It's a great deal for the Town. Seeing Zog go, I don't get the disappointed gutting feeling I did as I saw Shay leaving. Instead, I believe (1) Zog is a 5m player top end (maybe less in the current financial climate - no disrespect Zog winkeye) and (2) although Zog's talent does overcast Taylor, it's vice versa where attitude is concerned. We got a good deal on the money alone AND a decent player with a good attitute.

Liverpool fan here...welldone to Wigan and Brucie. I have always admired Bruce's dealings in the market, and he's just added another excellent signing. No matter what the NUFC fans say, this guy will definately add something to Wigan. I am hoping Wigan gets a UEFA cup slot, cos they deserve it.

Ojay - NZogbia may well add something to Wigan, but don't just dismiss the comments of us Newcastle fans. We've witnessed this guy's poor attitude and big mouth for the past few seasons, so I think we know what we're talking about!

And if Steve Bruce thinks he's got a guy who will happily play in defence, he's in for a rude awakening...

i think it's a decent signing. He won't be used as a left back here as we have 2 which will be ahead of him. But we have noone really in the left midfield position. So he should be a first team player pretty much most of the time. Hopefully that will allow him to feel important enough not to go moaning. With valencia staying at least until the summer now, we may actually have a balanced side with threats down both wings and if this watson guy turns out to be the attacking (hopefully goalscoring) CM we've been without since we got promoted really, then you never know, little wigan could find themselves in europe.

i find it just ever so slightly strange how when he was a newcastle player he was one of the best talents around, and the majority of newcastle fans wouldn't let anybody say anything bad about him?? now hes gone its good riddance?! hmmmmmmmmm...........

I don't know which Newcastle fans you're listening to but for the past 2 years he's been in the bad books. Skillful but no end product and a horrible attitude.

He's an okay player who's constantly looking for stepping-stones to Arsenal where, he'd struggle to make the squad.

The sooner he goes back to France, the better.

He was one of our most talented (technically) players, that's not to say he's one of the best, we're shoite at the moment.

Im pretty glad to see N'Zogbia leave for Wigan. We've picked up a good players in return as well, N'Zogbia never really produced any of the "potential" he is supposed to have and he is frankly nothing but trouble. I would prefere Ryan Taylor at the club any day

I do admire the Toon army's consistency, they were glad to see the back of Titus too, he's been brilliant at Wigan.

DavyGravy, if Steve Bruce can sort out his attitude, N'Zogbia will probably be a good player for you.

Next season you can have Smith and the season after, Duff. No doubt they'll start performing again as soon as the leave!
