Heskey In Talks With MON

Premier League Aston Villa
comment on the article

Morning lads,

I am living in Dublin and this morning it has just been revealed on the radio (Newstalk.ie) that martin o neill has been given permission to speak with heskey regarding a £3.5m deal. I dont know where they have gotten there info from but it is an highly respected independent news station in Ireland, with a highly respected football input from the likes of John Giles, Phil Thompsom & Paul Parker.

It also mentioned that the deal was going through due to Wigan signing a striker, dont know who though.....

I know there has been a lot of unsubstantiated rumours on here lately with regards transfers but i think this is the real thing.

Fingers crossed!

Does Heskey set many goals up?

"But for those of you talking of a proven Premiership player. he is indeed proven.... at not scoring that often in the premiership. if he was foreign he would have been got rid of years ago."

spoonfle (U7518607) - we didn't bloody want him! I think it's safe to say that Torres and Keane are leagues ahead of Heskey.

Villa are welcome to him! The man is completely useless. He has one or two half decent games, and everyone starts raving about him again. He'll struggle to break double figures for the season! He's about as potent as non-alcoholic lager.

And i agree with what someone said above. He IS proven in the premier league. Proven to be complete rubbish!!

Sorry Villa, but you won't finish in the top 4 this season. Arsenal have got too much class for you.

This is funny:P Villa wanting to be a top 4 club then they sign Heskey LOL

I think the current top 4 got together and played a prank on Villa by asking Liverpool to prentend to buy him, he then slips through their fingers and ends up at Villa !

I think Bruce is the smart on here not MON. Seels a player for 3.5 mill when he would have gone for nothing in the summer. Bruce also keeps alligence with his old club UTD by ensuring Villa have a striker that couldnt score in a brothel and will now have no chance of making the top 4. Heskey is only good to kick the ball at and people only praise him now because they feel sorry for all the craap hes had over the last few years for being garbage - nothings changed, just our sympathetic minds!

Next Liverpool will say they want Nigel Quashie and Villa will buy.

Villa - Liverpool are really sorry about the whole Barry thing but it will be you that end up really sorry if you keep trying to poach their potential transfers, especially when they are winding you up !!!

We needed a striker now, not in the summer. Heskey fits in perfectly with our system, 3.5 mil is not a bad price for a player the Owen and Rooney both said was the best they had played with for England because hes an unselfish team player, runs all day and sets up chances for the team.
I'm extremely happy to pay 3.5 mil and get him for a crucial last half of the season than play the whole second half of the season with only Gabby because we think it would be clever to sign him for free and totally bust the wage structure.

MON mentioned confidence a lot in the interview. MON is the premiership's best motivator, he inspires his players and clearly knows exactly what makes Heskey tick from the Leicester days- for this reason i think we'll see the best of Heskey in the next few years. Good business.

i know wigan have been sniffin about kris boyd of rangers! im a celtic fan and take it from me i like the boy, but he wont score the goals he does for any prem club like he does at rangers. his only goals come against poor teams which is pretty much most of the SPL. you really dont want him

I agree we need a striker -a good one- Heskey will be alright but i think we must purchase a proven goalscorer to break into the top four. Also a midfield playmaker and a defensive midfielder would be perfect additions to attain champions leauge football next season.
