It will be interesting how Ferguson copes without Rooney for three weeks. He has been very lucky with injuries to his top players compared with Chelsea over the last couple of years. I think he takes this for granted too much.

By the way Barry Manulow, get your wording right: 'Chelski' have as many Englishmen in their first 11 as Man Utd.

And Scholesclass, you are right that Man Utd are not just commerce. Yet shirst sales in Asia (as the world's most marketable club) provide the finance for a ridiculously overpriced Dimitar Berbatov at £31m. He's class, but not THAT class. I'd call him £16m.

great comment about scholesy. If he were still playing for England, fatty Lamps would'nt have had a cap. Allthough he's a scouser, got to rate Gerrard.Without him,Liverpool would be languishing in mid table now. They can do without Torres. They cant do without him.Not wishing any player serious injury, but a Gerrard pulled hamstring would mean another empty trophy cabinet for the scousers!!

barrymanulow you've hit the nail on the head :P
As much as other fans won't admit, they are hugely jelious of what we have and have acheived!
Sick note Benitez is the pinacal. He's little more than a manager of a sub par European team like Fiorentina, Sevilla or Lyon.
United we're good last night, dispite loseing Rooney!! Good on ya lads :D

Londonsfinestclub... i fell asleep reading your comment, it lacked passion.

Anyway, i reckon we're going to walk the league this season... the true class of the worlds best club, both on and off the pitch is going come through.

And we'll have a 75k sell out crowd at every game on the way to achieving it.

Bring on Barca in CL

You mugs are right about one thing, Chelsea is in Fulham but thats where it ends for Fulham although they will probably salvage a point at Old Trafford based on your displays against Sunderland and Wigan. Chelsea were non starters before the game, most genuine fans could've told you this before the match and most probably won a few quid on Idustrial Park United. Chelsea have been struggling since they were beaten by Pool and as Mourinho said, That wasn't his Chelsea! His team wouldn't have conceded three goals or even lost and who can doubt him, just look at his record against Ferguson..full stop. Chelsea are in transition but we do recognise Liverpool as genuine title contenders, They are good enough to play the anti-football away from home to secure the league. Don't count your chickens and if there was natural order you guys would be licking my shoes. Most Asian people I have spoken to are very disappointed at United's location as once the match is over there's nowt to do as you lot say! Word of mouth travels fast, London is a far nicer destination, watch those Asians you could lose your fan base and I don't mean Manchester people..most are city fans and it seems even more are going to join them.

Benitez won the league twice with Valencia you tool - just because he didn't have tens of millions of pounds to support him, doesn't make him the 'poor manager' for being successful anyway. You people really have no idea about football, do you?

And speaking of injuries, from what I read (I didn't watch it obviously, I'd rather drink lighter fluid) United struggled after Rooney's injury. Maybe if you weren't so breathtakingly arrogant, you'd think about that fact and begin to worry slightly about your next few games...

Barry Manulow, too true you have me there.
I suppose I was thinking current first 11 (Roooney, Ferdinand, Scholes, Neville/Brown maybe).

Yet, how much combined fees did you pay for Ferdinand, Hargreaves, Carrick and Rooney, when compared to Lampard, the two Coles and SWP?

And you can't say "it's becasue they are better players", because the difference in price is surely not commensurate to their difference in quality (especially if Hargreaves gets injured so much and Rio misses 8 months).

United are top and a terrific side, and they will probably win the league. But they are as much a trading giant - who must acquire assets foreign or English rather than produce them - as any other club in this day and age. Definitely since the golden youth days of the 1990s anyway.

of course freddie, good luck in the uefa cup nexy year!!

Getting excited again are ya???? Three wins on the trot now and we've got the momentum to overhaul both Villa nd Chelsea.

You're scraping 1-0 wins only because you're playing sides from the bottom half. Your luck will eventually run out

Barrymanulow, last I checked John O'Shea is Irish not British. On everything else - we agree.
