St Johnstone v Rangers

Scottish League St Johnstone
comment on the article
Homecoming Scottish Cup

There will be a lot of nervous Rangers fans out there tonight as their team prepare to take on St Johnstone in the Homecoming Scottish Cup.

Saints, after all, are unbeaten in 14 matches, stretching back to August, and stand top of the Scottish First Division.

St Johnstone took Rangers to a penalty shoot-out in the Scottish Cup semi-final in April last year and back in 2006 beat the Ibrox side 2-0 away in the CIS Cup.

Elsewhere in the cup, Brechin play St Mirren and Forfar take on Forres Mechanics.

In the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, Aberdeen are down at Rugby Park.

Cowdenbeath and Berwick Rangers play in the Third Division.

As always, we love to hear your thoughts. Log on, give us your thoughts and we'll add some of the comments to the live clockwatch.

Good showing from Naismith tonight, a bit rusty but no surprise after 9 months out. Our best left sided player imo, lets hope he gets sharper, fitter and into some good form.

Does the BBC still have the footage of the Dundee Utd v Forfar cup tie at Tannadice in 1987? You know, the year Utd beat Barcelona at home but only just managed to draw with Forfar...

Im half way there with my predictions, an O.G and a Novo goal. Just a mendes goal to go, then a St. Johnstone consolation ... smiley

Why can't we just have text commentary on the games instead of lame attempts at humour from amateur writers? For those of us living overseas, all we want is the commentary!

This link was removed for some reason, dunno why - I can't think anyone complained so must have been the Nazis at BBC interfering again.
