I'm starting to think that all this talk of the Blades getting back into the Premiership is just that: talk, and nothing else. Yet another striker shipped out - lets hope we actually replace this one.

Past his sell by date if you ask me, harewood would have been a batter option.

Hmm...target in the box for the long throw?

As for Marewood...he shouldn't even be playing football.

Even as a Liverpool fan, after being the cause of so much frustration for us this season, i hope he does well for you and Stoke stay up!

Your team stands up to everyone that comes their way, and dont let the likes of the big 4 scare you into playing a different way.

Fingers crossed for you guys that Beattie and Etherington can help make a difference!

Good signing - a proven premier league goalscorer - just what we've been lacking.

Hopefully he'll score goals and be a better signing than Kitson! But seriously, Kitson has been desperately unlucky and hopefully he'll score 1 soon and finish the season with 10! I also think that despite him not being a target man like Kitson or Sidibe, I'd like to see him alongside Fuller at some point. Could be an explosive partnership...

as utd fan im not at all sorry to see him go, as i feel we would play better when we have to work as a team and not rely on a single player. i am however a bit annoyed at the price he was sold for. we payed £4m for a player who wasnt fully fit and had a handful of goals in two years, and then we sell him, a player who is in form for £3.5m. I hope there is a huge 40-50% sell on clause in the conract.

now to hoping we actually replace him with someone decent.

i think beatties will be great at stoke, i can't think of a better striker frm the championship to step up to the premier league, little surprise that sheffield united let him go to be honest, he was scoring and found alot of confidence, 3.5 million is a good deal, get kitson out

I agree good signing. Let's hope he scores a enough goals for us to stay up this year. Now we want another defender so we do not keep shipping soft goals.

Re Dixon I recall singing 'Dixon For Arsenal' when we were going down 6-0 away at Swindon. Here's hoping we get another point on Saturday at Chelski

If you're after a proven PREMIERSHIP goalscorer, you still are lacking one.
