Is there bias towards Man utd?

comment on the article

In the opinion of neutrals, have referees been showing significantly more bias towards Manchester Utd than any other club in the league for years?

And in addition, do the FA show leniency towards Manchester Utd with regard to punishments

Finally, do you think the question of clubs influencing officials is a large problem or one that is isolated to certain clubs or indivuduals, and if this is the case, what should be done?

'Yet you're somehow a neutral even though your team is a rival in the same division? Hilarious'.

Now you are scraping the barrell. I really have no feelings for Man U one way or other. That does mean, much as you don't like it, that I am a 'neutral'.

Priceless.

This sums it up. My previous post explains, but let me make it clear:

- If the top four teams receive favourable decisions, then the remaining 16 receive unfavourable decisions against them against the big four.

This means that, as a Fulham fan, you are just as affected by this as me.

I'm amazed that you wrote that last post and can't see it's obvious flaw. Scraping the barrel? I can't do anything but laugh, to be honest.

Read the question again:

In the opinion of neutrals, have referees been showing significantly more bias towards Manchester Utd than any other club in the league for years?

'Opinion'.

Say no more.

I'm surprised to find that you would feel you couldn't have a neutral opinion on any other club in the Premier League. I don't have that problem as I really don't have any feeling for Man U one way or other.

It could only be neutral if what I was commenting on had not affected my club, supposedly.

By insisting that you're on the receiving end of unfavourable decisions because of bias in your games against the bigger clubs, it's quite obvious that you are not a neutral.

It isn't particularly difficult to understand, is it?

If Croatia claimed that England received prefential treatment because of their standing in International football, would they be neutral? No, they're in the same qualifying group.

It would depend on what preferential treatment they were talking about. If I complain about the decision Man U had against Bolton, it's not to Fulham's benefit - how can that be a biased opinion? It would suit us for Man U to beat Bolton. It still wouldn't make it right.

The size of the crowd can intimidate a referee, you hear the commentators say it week in week out, and you can see that in a ground moreso when the decisions go against you.
All the top 4 have more decisions go for them i agree with that, but Man Ure seem to get more than others. The way Rooney turned his back swearing at the ref against chavski was appauling, all the commotion about Cashley Cole doing and Shrek wouldn't even turn and look at the ref, just waved his arm in a shoo type of motion and carried on mouthin it. And Rooney does it nearly every game

Of course the two are not mutually exclusive...

I'm not saying you're wrong,

Safe. I'll leave it there. Hope you win the league. Rather you than the r3d5h1t3.

Oh my, sorry if this seems insulting but some of the stuff you post really doesn't look thought through.

A statement about a one off incident is completely different to a generalised statement about the club. You play against us, hence you cannot be neutral.

There are many, many fans of smaller clubs who dislike Man Utd. To suggest that whatever you ask them about the big teams will generate a complete neutral and unbiased view is laughable.

Firstly, are you telling me that a referee is influenced more at OT by the 70,000 than at Villa Park by the 40,000? Ridiculous. Next we'll be looking at average decibel level to determine which is loudest and scares the referee more.

Secondly, your comment about United makes me laugh. No evidence, no basis, just a generalisation about Rooney's behaviour.

Brilliant

Fair play mate - good luck for your season. You're doing extremely well considering the lack of forwards!

I'm biased as I've supported United for around 20 but it seems that the team at the top of the league always comes in for more stick, both rational and irrational.
