Oh dear U's supporters.

Looks like you could be playing in the BSP South in 2009/2010.

Luton have got 29 back so far and we will stay up. So as long as it doesn't get to the players and the supporters stick with it you should be ok. Good Luck.

This is very dissapointing, especially having been on a decent run of form recently following a terrible start to the season and a good deal of dissapointment for fans over the past couple of seasons. I was just starting to see a bit more prospect for our season.

All teams are subject to these rules and although I'm peeved at the penalty there can't be much grey area, you're either registered or not and the people running the club should be experienced enough to avoid such oversights. It could have been worse, we've been lucky to get away with losing just 5 points.

As for the invincible comment we've known we're not invincible for some time and you'd have to be living in cloud cookoo land to think otherwise as an Oxford supporter.

However, the loyal fanbase will continue to attend games and I firmly believe that if we continue plugging away as we have been we'll end up mid-table(ish) by end of season. I just hope the lads keep their chin up and don't let this ruin morale.

I think you will find it's actually 5 points,
Now remind me where is Wycombe, oh I remember I drove through it in 1986 on my way to Wembley to watch us win a proper trophy...we will be back!

A lucky break for the team whose only success ever was funded by grans up and down the land.

Rules are rules, well unless the Club is rich! so the deduction stands - the team seem to be improving, there is best part of half a season to go - any end result is achievable... so time will tell.....

Good point. The S*** will hit the fan big time, when come the end of the season Oxford were to somehow make the play offs, and even get promoted.

If this were to happen, and say for arguments sake either Crawley or Mansfield were to be eliminated at the same stage, then the lawyers could well find themselves very busy indeed!
