2-2!Newcastle United by RobTheGuru (U1430156) 10 January 2009 Ah well, looks like we are back to 2-2's at home again. I was expecting Jonas to score right at the end, but ah well, can't get it all. Atleast the results below us went out way, Boro and Mackems 1-1 helps us out. Latest comments

captchris (U1774114) posted Jan 10, 2009 Yeah, the draw was a fair result. We shouldn't be too excited about being 11th, though - lose next week to Blackburn and we'll be right back down there.

booba1603 (U13718546) posted Jan 10, 2009 I'm fairly glad with the result. I was slightly dissapointed by jonas missing that last hope for newcastle but newcastle need to get hold of every point they can, as it is a risky and crutial stage of the season for the magpies.

vivluvsme (U13776962) posted Jan 11, 2009 Fair result but damaging for West Ham to lose the lead when they don't know who will still be in the squad next month. Odd for the reporter to twice think West Ham were the home side...

TeaTimeAtHarrods (U9112991) posted Jan 11, 2009 Newcastle looked clueless and completely bereft of ideas. This will remain so long as they have the vulgar, dull and dim Kinnear in charge-i cannot think of a worse manager in the league and he must never be allowed to be employed in football again once his inevitable sacking occurs. One only knew Owen was playing because his name is on the score sheet-a 3 second contribution in 90 minutes surely is inexcusable.

James_HappyHammer (U13778659) posted Jan 12, 2009 West Ham definitely should have won the game. Newcastle took their chances up front and looked more potent in the final third. They also defended with more conviction. The midfield and passing ability of West Ham was far more impressive than Newcastle's. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be concerned with the lack of creativity from their team. Fortunately for them our defence was always backing off and that's what cost us. If the game was judged in the middle of the pitch the Hammer's would have easily won. Unfortunatley for us its in the final thirds that it counts.

vinnieq (U8543080) posted Jan 12, 2009 Gutierrez had a savage 1st half yesterday. He tore West Ham apart single-handedly. Duff should only be a bench player. Pity we couldn't have pushed N'Zogbia's development on in the last few years because he showed glimpses of his potential saturday. Comment on this article
