Well give it six months to a year and he will be at another club. As Portsmouth crash and burn all the way into the Championship there few good players will want to jump ship and the Big teams will come calling.

So Johnson will stay for Now enjoy it while it last.

Great player, I definitely wouldn't say no to him at Villa!

Fantastic news: best English right back in the game right now and he plays for us.
SBFL - all we can hope is that Harry does for you what he did for the last team he left us for.

SBFL

Think I'll log off the PC now and head home and watch my FA Cup Final 2008 DVD, you should do the same and go and watch your clubs last DVD release. . . . a drawn league match against the decent N.London club.

Great update from Sacha - I know he wants to sell, but to some extent I think we're really lucky to have someone like him as our owner.

Very honest and open statement, and gave assurances that we'd have 5 new players by the end of the month - a couple of which sound like they are in progress and should be concluded soon.

dilapper - the statement "We are currently working on the permanent acquisition of three players along with two loan deals" isn't much of an assurance - it's pretty vague and as we all know these things don't always materialise.

That coupled with Adams saying "we spent £4.4m on Nadir (Belhadj). There are a couple of little bits more but that's it...I will be looking around for a couple of loans...
The owner has already said he's not going to lose any more money into the club" again, doesn't go that far to assure me we're getting much out of this transfer window.

Sounds negative, but I'd like to think I'm a realist more than a pessimist. The re-signing of Johnson's fantastic news though and a decent statement in my view.

Well at least our best defender is staying, we needed that, after our best midfielder and striker left us.

I doubt he'll be off soon especially when he's already been at a top 4 club and I imagine didn't enjoy it much. He's proved just how good he is if he gets played and to think Ferreira got picked ahead of him. English/British youngsters are just as good as your foreign players and need to be given the chance. Look at Aston Villa
