It's been confirmed on the clubs website that we've reached an agreement with west ham for a loan and with bowyer to agree to it.

Thoughts?

Hey Claret and blue, why is it that vile fans knock us, we can do it ourselves easy enough, but the thing is with us is we can take it without crying into our Ansells, we know we are second best but it doesn't stop us going to watch our boys against you lot, you expect to win so defeat must really get to you and is oh so sweet for us.
Oh and don't forget, when Man u come knocking for O'neill he will be gone, he is why you are where you are now, he is by far the best manager in England and maybe the world, so how are a tin pot club like you expecting to keep him, enjoy it while you can as it will all come crashing down in a year or two and then it will be blue noses crying in their beer, tears of laughter.
Bowyer will do the business especially if we get you lot in the cup.

Time for another petition Brum fans. Try for Dyer as well, then the winner takes on Ricky Hatton.

Along with Joey Barton Villa fans have long counted Bowyer as one of the nastiest players in the premier league so him returning in a royal blue shirt would only add spice to next seaons derby.
I know Blues return is a big if at the moment but if you add a decent centre half to the signings of Bowyer and Boyd then i think there is little doubt you finish above perenial bottlers wolves. See you next season. Tmepol

Bowyer is bad luck, as a Wolves fan I'm happy he ended up with the blues!

Good signing.
Will beef up Brum midfield.
Probably needs regular games at this stage of his career and really an occasional player at West Ham.
Birmingham and Wolves are going to need all the help they can get because I reckon one of them may succumb to Reading who I think will win the Championship basically on their home form but they have also won away at both.
I know LB carries a reputation with him but During both spells at WHU handled himself very professionally.
Good luck to you Lee.applause

Its as i have said before.

He can defend as well as Quashie and Nafti, he is proven and experienced (unlike Fahey, Kemmy?) He offers more going forward than the rest of our CM (apart from Fahey). And he can pass better than most/all of our side (pre Jan signings) maybe inc Queudrue.

The only questions would be

a) His temper during games (and relationship with fan and players).

b) Consistant Commitment (will he work 100% week in week out).

c) Would he be happy at being dropped, if say Fahey or others are chosen ahead of him. (will he work hard to get back into side, like Queudrue did, or would he just start to not bother like Butt loan a few seasons agook).

Apart from those he has everything else especially for this level.

He could have the same impact for us as Barry does for Villa!

But then again McFadden is suposed to have same impact for us as Rooney does for Man Utd!

Larsson = Championship Beckham (Man Utd and early Madrid days).

McFadden = Championship Rooney

Philips = Championship Van Nistelrooy.

Bowyer = Championship Barryok

So who do you think will be McLeish's first choice midfield - personally I feel that McFadden and Larsson may be off in the window but maybe not the worst news as neither have set the world on fire this year and McFadden in particular looks highly disinterested - however, I would particularly like Seb to stay. Now we need a centre back!!!
