Interesting to see Defoe trying the same trick that Barton tried with City. What, with these money grabbing sh***, and Vassell unable to remove his earings in order to get on to the pitch, is it just me or are the majority of top footballers now just bling laden, cliche ridden, superficial little brats?

BlueKeysey...

I've noticed that you can pretty much say what you like about players (as long as no swear words are involved ffs!) BUT say sth even slightly controversial about a manager or an owner and your post gets wiped. I called Thaksin a (c)rook and it got wiped. I called Venables a (b)ung merchant and that got wiped, etc etc. Hardly outrageous either of them when you think about their respective track records. But it seems they're afraid of 'authority figures' kicking up a fuss and refusing to speak to them for the next decade - or worse! Sth most players wouldnt even think of.

Now I'm just off to the Tevez thread - where I compared 'Arry to Delboy Trotter - to see if that's been tugged too!

BBC - get your act together! grr

bonkers-for-City ----

you can't say slanderous things you plonker.

The BBC would be slaughtered through the courts if they didn't vet some of the idiotic posts that are made.

I'm sure it's not quite like that, when you consider some of the stuff that's "available" on the net.

Any road, take a chill pill man we're only havin a laff!

We weren't saying anything that hasn't been said or hinted at a thousand times before - including by the BBC themselves. So have a bit of a think before posting drivel.

And btw, you just slandered me and I strongly refute your allegation of plonkerness against me!
