Premier League Arsenal
comment on the article

I am a Pompey fan and apparantly Tony Adams is about to sign Edu from Valencia, Is he any good? anywhere as good as Diarra?

He was a quality player for us, but not a DM.

Good passing, great feet, good shot but also a big lad who loved the physical side of the game. Only real downside? His injury record, it would be a bit of a gamble.

Edu has a great left foot and can pass through the eye of a needle. Good free kick taker but as others have said, the injuries are the down side.

When he was with us, he was a good foil for Vieira as, like Petit before him, gave us Left/Right balance so potentially could be good alongside Diop. ok

Not sure if he's still good, not seen him play for a while, but he was excellent for us, but repeating what other people have said, his only major downside is his injury history. But Edu would be an overall good addition to any squad.

He would be a bad buy for Pompey - Edu is older, injury prone and he will have to re-adapt to an even stronger and faster PL.

he's had his injuries and is a bit older, but plays with his head up and can pick out a pass.

Can't really expect anything too wonderful but can create as well as defend.

Nt really similar to Diarra in any way

As an Arsenal fan, I must admit that Adams has turned your club into a relegation contender, more than anything else.
The Edu link is hilarious, he is finished. It's like us buying Silvestre

Edu was a class player, however his time at Valencia has been spent mostly on the touchline due to injury. I think bringing him back to the premiership is a gamble. He has spent a few years playing (well.. not really playing..) for a very good Spanish side but the game in La Liga is different to ours and I believe Premiership football is more taxing and unforgiving..

Tony Adams is by far the worst manager to ever manage in the PL!! Worse than Ramos even!

He's taken over at Portsmouth and is trying his hardest to run it into the ground!

He hasn't got a clue!! Tony do yourself a favor.................................... AND QUIT!!

Better off asking Valencia fans. With Arsenal though, he was useful and a player suited to play a squad role. Oh and nothing like Diarra either.
