Yeah but it's still one cack cup or are your standards that low?

eyqueminho, you support man utd, therefore you have no grounds to say which cup is better etc. At our level of football (in derbys case championhsip and in my case chesterfield league 2) we will take any win in a cup we can.
You have the depth and money to win anything, so let us with very limited resources experience a win eh?

Nobody really cares what you personally want because you obviously have limited intelligence. Also i dont think anybody is trying to say that the Carling Cup is the most prestigious competition that United are involved in, but seeing as we are in the semi final we should now go on and try and win it.

Finally, you cannot use the fact that the Carling Cup is a lower priority as an excuse for a poor performance. We have the quality to beat Derby but we didnt play well enough, nothing to do with the clubs opinion of the competition. United should always go out on the pitch to win, regardless of the opposition or the competition.

So the League Champions and recently crowned 'World Club Champions' were beat by a team that was managed by a guy who usually manages the under 8 team. Will I guess you can win with kids after all. Fergie must be a proud man today.

I was listening to the match, thoroughly expecting Derby to get stuffed. I'm really pleaed that I was proved wrong. Well done Derby County- but the job's only half done. Good luck at Old Trafford, and good luck to Nigel Clough. I hope he gets judged on his own merit and not just compared to his father.

It certainly was the best performance in years from Derby and this was because the starting line up took into account the strengths of the players, something that was missing from Paul Jewell's team selections.

Kris Commons does not have the pace to be as effective on the wing. However, the role behind the striker allows him to use his skill, creativity and (as we saw) shooting to full effect.

He was not the only player to have their best Derby game: Todd, Nyatanga, Davis, Addison and Green all shone.

It makes you wonder why the Derby team has been so dire this season if they are capable of producing premiership quality football.
